- I started making this one right after I uploaded the freefall animatic--I'm now very tired. This entire video is just me being sentimental about the human race, really. And about Good Omens in general.

"Let there be light, let me be right" with the apple Crowley gave to human and the flaming sword Aziraphale gave to human- oooff the implications. They were right.

I was watching this for the second or third time when it hit me: Crowley and Aziraphale, they didn't just grow to love humanity. They were the first to guide them, the first to interact with them. They watched them grow and evolve on Earth and took part in their lives. Whether they loved us from the beginning because that's what She told them to do or not, they lived alongside us and took genuine interest in our existence. The reason(s) they loved us no longer mattered as much as the fact that they did. They watched us grow and die and learn and make mistakes over and over again. They watched us do amazing, terrible, wonderful, awful things. They appreciated us even when it was clear that heaven and hell thought mankind no more important than a plot device. And from that moment in Eden for the next 6000 years, they too grew alongside us.
Also me: they love us because we're a plot device in their love story.
Oh shit... You accomplished it... You made me cry... I was expecting something about the ineffable husbands but I've got something much much better... The true meaning of the book... The love and importance and beauty of humanity... I feel my heart exploiting right now

My favourite thing is Crowley talking to Eve, and also the suggestion that some children didn't drown.
I love how you show Crowley and Aziraphale being bettered by humanity, also I just think ancient good omens times is underrated in general
As cheesy as it sounds, I'm actually tearing up over this. There's something about that moment with Adam and Eve laughing, and watching the human race grow behind them, and then straight into Crowley talking to an old Eve and "Let me be right" with the apple and the sword just GOT TO ME. They both took a gamble, and it paid off, and because of that humanity is what it is and it's all just so SOFT and KIND and it makes my heart ache and im crying thank you for making this kaflds

wow this whole piece was absolutely breathtaking! first of all, what a beautiful song to choose for this and crowley at eve's side as she grew old and died was so touching, man everything was so good, the cuts of cities at the end was so nice to add in and what a close, the universe acting as a blanket to earth and creating a bit of an illusion of an eye? wow this is just amazing, I hope it gets a lot more notice in the future! I love how you told the story perfectly with the song. And how real life just makes a grand entrance at the end/climax. I think my favorite frame might actually be the one where (biblical?) Aziraphale is sitting and listening to some guy telling him a story. He looks so completely enthralled, like he’s really learning what humans are capable of and can’t believe he has the privilege to be apart of it
Assuming you’re talking about the “we hold inside” frame, I think you might have mixed it up! It’s actually Aziraphale entertaining a child who survived the flood with a magic trick 😃
