- Say what you will about the actual plot, but there's no denying the frankly insane moments. A Kirito ragdoll, using a sword as an arrow, to even negative HP! There's nothing too crazy for SAO.

Called Sword Art Online: only spends 1/4th of the show in that setting and only 1/2 of the show actually using swords
They resolved the actual SAO part way to quickly. The rest of season 1 was ass, season 2 was eh, but I did enjoy Alicization.
@@Dr.SwagPHDinDrip I think season one was not that bad, atleast first 13 episode. With two new movies we got, it did get better. Others things that you said is W tho.
Blame the anime and if you want more of Aincrad just read Progressive.
It was one of the early Isekai stories, but the point of the story is about difference between Reality and virtual reality, and how humans will live their lives in that situations

I heard someone call Sword Art Online the Twilight of anime. And I actually like SAO despite the ups and downs it has. Animation still clean from when the first season came. And I am okay with that.
No, Sword Art isn't that bad. The issue with this series, is that the author has some really good ideas but always fail on delivery, and has the terrible idea of focusing on the wrong element at the right time
@@bloody4558 Does that include Underworld because I thought it was a step up compared to most what we saw from the series.
@@uzumaki7535 it does include underworld. I'd say Underworld showcases the issues I described even more perfectly, despite being the best arc among those that were adapted. First part of the arc was great, we had good fights, a great improvement in the narrative, but then part two happens and not only the author chooses to bring all of the old characters back the whole narrative goes back to how it was written in the old arcs. The author is always close to perfection and then he sabotages himself along the way.

(i love sao is my favorit anime but is not an anime that has deap lore and consecince is just a fun "adventure" of a grup of gamers)
It actually is pretty fun if you turn on your brain to understand the deep themes of the story

It's the first time I've heard Kirito's English dubbing and it really doesn't sound bad.
Idc what nobody says, SAO is really some good shit. Not peak in any aspect, but it's pretty well rounded and when it isn't having all the focus drawn to it's slightly more serious plot, it's just a fun ass series to sit and watch. I come back to it every now and then and I'm always happy to relive those fire moments or stupid shit that puts Kazuto on fraud watch.

This is definitely the best worst anime
I really wish this anime was good, but it’s so fucking boring with a very small percentage of the anime being a fighting scene. If Kirito just went around saying Stfu then killed them, it probably would of been a better anime.
Everyone talks waaay too much. You don’t have the world building that Log Horizon did so you need to beat them in either action or animation. Which they did not.
