  • Back carrying is a great way for your bigger baby or toddler to share your experiences and view of the world, whilst giving you freedom to move and manage daily tasks easily. It’s also a more supportive alternative than outwards facing carrying on the front; your toddler can still see over your shoulder and for many parents back carrying is more comfortable on their back and shoulders than front carrying a bigger child.
This is just one of the many techniques you can use to get your baby on your back in your Izmi, Tula, Ergobaby or other carrier.

Thanks for the video, I'll try your technique. My kid is only 1,5 months, so I'm wondering if it's safe or if there are any other extra safety measures I should take?

It is - so long as they're willing and able to either (a) lay still o your back for a few seconds and/or (b) hold on round your neck. Otherwise, do have a look at the Back Carrying playlist on our channel and try out some of the Hip Scoot methods for back carrying, which are great for big babies and small toddlers x

It's the hood :) Though to be honest Tulas hoods are fairly small, so it wouldnt fit over this kiddo's head ;)

My daughter has mild cerebral palsy and fatigues easily.. you would never know by just looking at her. Please keep this in mind in the future when you see an older child being carried. This comment is for tro jansky

@@jessicairgens6018 You're the exception, not the norm. A lot of parents just carry their kids instead of just using a stroller or a wagon because of all of these weird ass new parenting styles.

Why would you want to carry that huge kid around, he's not a infant,he's not a toddler 😟

Clearly you just have a very limited scope of experienced and activities you do with your children

Airport, traveling, hiking, pilgrimage, crowded subways, a child who has a disability, the usage is endless. A 4 or 5 year old kid will still not be able to keep up with an adult all day, especially while traveling.

Why watch and comment if your not interested in this!?! So much judgement and negativity around.
