I want to know about that slip case for the classic sd. How can I get one?
I’ve been collecting Swiss Army knives pretty much my whole life, and my admiration for the Classic SD continues to grow. It’s the best selling for a good reason.
The Classic SD is worth it for the scissors, tweezers, and toothpick. Can’t live without it! 🤓
I have so classic SDs' now, I would have to recount, lol.
Same here. It's amazing
I changed the classic for a rambler. Best EDC choice ever.
I’ve got the Rambler on my keychain and the Huntsman in my day pack for years, I’ve never needed anything else.
the best of all, for me, is the ranger (not the ranger grip, although that looks cool too). It's great to have a file and a wood saw, especially for those who camp or live in rural areas but don't always work on it. It's not very big, it has the normal functions, and the saw and file. My first was a climber, I highly recommend it, I have a simple sentinel that was my kitchen knife for a long time, it takes a very violent edge, very good for difficult things like leather and fat, but I simply stopped using it after getting a cleaver
Ranger's file is a metal saw, too.
A Swiss Champ is in my backpack on all my travels. (And has come in handy more times than I can count.)
Finally the Cybertool is getting some love! Been in my edc for the last 4+ years give or take.
mine has 24years , looked like it made out of wwII..still working tho, lost some bits.
My husband loves Swiss Army Knives. Uses them on a daily basis.
Nice selection.
Coming from a Swiss guy:
The one I find super usefull and never mentioned is the Victorinox Nail Clip 580. Besides the nail clipper it has a knife, a scissor, a file and other usefull tools.
But some people say that it has serrated scissors which don't cut properly
@@Pritam043they don't have serrated scissor blades. They have the normal ones. Victorinox has some of the best scissors and they cut very well
Good comment. Flyfishermen swear by the Nailclip 580. Nail clippers are the best tool for cutting fishing line while on the water. Easy to use with one hand, and with with cold or gloved hands. Leave it attached to your vest on a retractable lanyard for quick use.
@@Psychonaut999 the nail clip 580 has micro serrated scissor blades... but they work as expected on nylon lines,
@@joshuadorsey5823 yep, as a fisherman i always have a Victorinox nail clipper with me, usually the light (12 grams) Victorinox Nail Clipper 8.2050.B1... and the 580 in some box as a backup tool.
Have several and they always come through. Make for fantastic gifts. One year everyone on the Xmas list got a CD Classic with design on the scales that was just right for each person. They loved them. Had to go to different stores and sites to find appropriate designs, so that made it more fun for me to find the right match up😁
The cadet was my absolute favorite when I was 12. I took it everywhere with me
Got mine when I was 10. 14 years later it still works great. Used to wonder why they polished the blade so much, but seeing it now all the scratches have a story.
Deluxe tinker is my go to
Love the Victorinox knives! ❤
the Fieldmaster is my favourite!
instead of the classic sd, I'd reccomend the Rambler instead because it has an extra tool.
Rambler beats the SD for me.
Every women should carry the SD you will use it twenty times every day ladies
I rotate between my 2 SOG Terminus XRs, my Kershaw Blur and Cryo, and my Buck 112 Slim to carry in my front pocket, but I almost never leave home without my Victorinox Camper in my back pocket. It's very handy for when I need one of the tools or if I'm somewhere where I need to use something with a more traditional profile to avoid undue attention.
Personally I think the super tinker is the perfect Swiss Army knife for me. I would’ve picked the one hand trekker or the soldiers knife 08 if the liner lock wasn’t left handed
I highly recommend the ranger grip 79. I love mine! The saw is great and the knife steel is quality.
Love the Classic SD. Carry my old Rambler everywhere I go and for all my adventures the expedition, what a knife that is!
The Rambler is twice as useful as the Classic SD due to the addition of the Phillips head driver, IMO.
@@joshuadorsey5823Richtig 👍 Den Philips Schraubenzieher habe ich schon oft gebraucht und Flaschenöffner ebenfalls.
Absolutely love them!!!))
Only sad part - one-handed loking blades are banned for carry in Germany, so we can have a lot of the big ones at home only...
True no.1 Victorinox Wenger 16999 giant
(Google the knive if you don't know)
Fits every pocket 😂
I got the ranger grip 78. Good knife.
Rambler over Classic, Huntsman / Ranger over all big / outdoors SAKs and Pioneer over Cadet for me
But these are good starters for anyone new to SAKs.
what about the fieldmaster
I carry the Explorer because of the magnifying glass, handy to have.
I’ve carried a cadet with the alox handles as a back up blade every day for well over a year now, great little knife
The Alox Cadet is definitely my favourite daily knife
How could you forget about the huntsman
Why you don't tell about Victorinox supersellers: the Huntsman with wood saw and scissors, the Climber with scissors and the Spartan with 2 openers?
I have Cadet, good friend of mine give it to me years ago. Very sharp and quality built knife.
I’ve got the Rangergrip 78. I can see way more use in a Philips screwdriver instead of a cork screw!
I always have classic sd on my keys. I have the cover removed to major it slimmer and matches my keys better 😊
I find the Rambler superior to the Classic SD. Basically the same thing but with a small Phillips head screwdriver/bottle opener added, which is my most used daily tool after a standard blade.
Also, I prefer the Tinker or Tinker Small over the Compact. I’ve rarely need a corkscrew and I think the full size Philips head on the Tinker is a more practical option for daily carry.
I would swap out classic for manager and maybe cadet for bantam
I’ve got a real old version of the ranger grip and it’s pretty good.
j'adore beaucoup les couteau suisse.
Compare modern adaptions to japanese designs, like the crkt hisshou or hissatsu. Basically anything made ny crkt's James Williams. And compare different tantos and other stuff like that
Dont forget the huntsman cuh
I havent found one I like enough to buy. I want a real phillips on the end for useable reach, a large blade, scissiors, a flat head, a pen blade, and no more than 3 rows.
You should cover the striker trs
Whats the plastic twist on corkscrew
Get a leatherman
Ranger is the best by far
Normal ranger, not ranger grip
Best victorinox knife is Hiker 1.4613.. just best tools.
Huntsman stays in my truck prob gonna get a classic SD next for my keys
I have a huntsman with fire ant, number of tools and formfactor for the prize is unbeatable imo.
What about Victorinox Spartan
Thats probably the most helful video i've seen for newbies, also i am a 1000'th like!
Workchamp for the win
I've found the alox Swiss mini champ to be alot better than the classic Sd
I want classic sd so bad 😭😭😭
I got a field master
I have the second one
I'd take the Rambler over the SD. Carry one every day.
Second that. Carry a Rambler daily in my left (non-knife) pocket with an Orbit Key suspension clip.
Huntman ❤
Super tinker is all you need imo. You're better off buying actual tools than trying to use the more complex ones.
No "Hiker"? I'm SO disappointed. ☹️
Never forget the huntsman
super tinker!!!!
Just get a Leatherman Wave
I do carry a Leatherman (Surge). But I still use the Victorinox Explorer, it fulfills what the Surge is missing.
They make a small fancy bag for the sd? Pffff 😂😂😂
Explorer.
Do the Swiss Army actually use these knives? 🤔
Prefer leatherman better quality materials.
depends. I prefer the scissors of the Swiss Army knife.
@@MrPleers You don’t get Titanium or PM steels Like CPM S30V and CPM Magnacut and replaceable wire cutters on Swiss Army knives. Additionally they don’t lock so offer less safety and the plier heads are better quality in leatherman. They are a better quality tool. The scissors on my charge TTi are awesome.
@@Biketunerfy To each his own. Leathermans are not for me.
@@MrPleers that’s fair enough your perfectly entitled to buy an inferior tool if you so choose. I respect your opinion.
@@Biketunerfy And so do you.
SD is absolutely useless, I have 3 of them.
American Service Knife 👍🏻🇺🇸
hiker самый пиздатый!
This is a bad top 5.
Rangergrip 79 for me all day 👍🪵🍁🍂🍁🍂🍂🍁
