- I hope you guys enjoy and find this guide helpful. I apologize for the length of the video but I wanted to showcase my mindset going through the 1st 10 bosses in survival mode.
To summarize:
1) Sell items in the shop to buy more gear in the beginning
2) Grab daredevil charm or the XP trinkets ASAP if they are available
3) Work towards a build that has synergy
4) Stick to what you are most comfortable with i.e tank build, crit build etc
5) Only loot the areas worth looting such as corsus, reisum and yaesha. Run through Earth and Rhom unless you see obvious loot.
6) usually no more than 6 dragonhearts is sufficient
7) don't forget about those 1 hour consumables. use them when you need to
8) the ricochet rifle is great against riphide, especially early
9) don't sleep on tomes. if you have scrap to spare, buy some tomes to make your character stronger
10) lifeleech is great for the higher levels i.e terror margin, leech ember and bloodletter's insignia, when paired with leto's set.

I agree, I watched yeets 10 hour WR stream for hard mode, 107 bosses, enthralled the whole time
I am planning a no upgrade-run and want to have as many advantages beforehand as possible, so survival mode is my way to farm. This proved to be quite a challenge, since the style of play is a little different and I couldn't even beat the first boss.
Watching someone experienced du the first few levels really helped me out, thanks for the content!

Threw this on while cooking so I watched to the end. Got my hero's sword months ago but survival is my favorite part of this game. My best is only 17 or 18 on normal though so this was really helpful. This vid is really entertaining and I learned a few things that will help me with future runs. Frozen enemies not only receive 20% more crit dmg, but also 15% more chance for attacks to crit. I know since in a beta 2923 preview stream (czcams.com/video/GM2SQ0-tX4Y/video.html) I saw the dev pick up an early version of driftstone, which said in its description "Doubles frozen application. Attacking frozen enemies gives 15% crit chance and 20% crit dmg. Since you verified the 20% crit dmg part, I think the 15% crit chance part is also true.
Please make a guide on long runs?! (11+ bosses) I loved this video and it was so helpful on getting me to 10 bosses solo!

I got the platinum for the game but the only trophys I have left are 5 and 10 bosses in a row and im struggling so much getting past just the first boss as I'm always feel underequipped.. Any tips?
Same, even when I'm 1 or 2 levels ahead it just seems I do soo little damage and they down me in a couple of hits
I struggled for ages, could never get past more than 3. The secret was the dog summon and a sage ring then I ran threw levels always moving forward. I found always being 4-5 levels above the area was better than wasting 10 mins for 2% recovery or 1% sprint. I bought 5 dragons first then beetles and summon damage tomes. Chicago typewriter with beetles was a boss killer (or skulls). Only place I kinda took time on was the iskal tunnels place. With this kinda set up u will do it solo easy or with friend never use 3 people.

@@paullatham8486 also delete the subject dlc gets rid of alot of hard bosses like the fast rat guy (I got him as first boss like 8/10 tries..death, and the snow levels and storm boss no way as first boss.

Highest I've gotten solo or with team is 9. Came so close to 10 in a row but I said screw it and bought the hero sword. And omg dude the Richochet Rifle is my bread and butter. My friends underestimated it at first. They don't anymore lol oh yea and if you can get the seeker Beatles on the first roll grab them! Corrosive damage stacks negative defense debuffs on the enemy and that means more straight damage. That said I also use the mod from Throne of Barbs quite often. And if I end up with the Rider and the Mount boss on the Snow map I kill the Mount 2nd for the Alternator

I play at 1.15 FOV. I don't think it's too crazy lol. I've seen some really stretched out FOV's

@cavsfightingroom3692 I do it just slightly so I can see a bit more of the screen (enemies and attacks I may not have seen). Too much and it gets insane tho. Don't know how people do it lol

I never knew Frozen enemies receive for Crit damage you learn something new everyday. Also could you explain what the boss statuses are, like Vicious, Regenerator, and Enchanter? I’ve never known what they mean
Vicious is more damage, Regenerator is regenerating health, Hearty is more health, Skullcracker is increased stagger on hit, Enchanter makes the boss summon spore clouds. I only see Shroud get it and he's really annoying with Enchanter

Thanks! Check out the newer survival vids for even better tips. Neutral dodging is done by pressing the dodge button with no directional inputs
hey bolt ik this comment is late, you should try using the spitfire and whatever main gun, yeetsmemario tested it and the fire from the spitfire melts the bells

Kind of off topic.... but it seems like some of the survival rewards (blacksteel, cat ring, white rose) are still bugged. At least on console. Just curious if you know anything about the devs potentially patching it in the future / workarounds to unlock the rewards. I feel like I've tried everything at this point. Thanks!
I'm in the same boat as you. The devs are aware and would like to fix the issue but there has not been any release date for a patch as of yet.

Nah you got this! Keep at it. Sometimes it takes a bit of RNG to get a good start with gear.

Coop is more fun but solo is wayyyyy easier

Have they changed survival, bc i got the XP amulet and the heart of the Wolf Ring....and im never 5 or 6 levels above the enemies....i try as fast as i can....but the most i can get out is 3 lv above. Around the 11 or 12 Boss they keep up to me :(
Honestly the XP trinkets aren't worth it. It's best to use things that let you kill faster

I don’t get how people know what goes best for each boss and loot locations and builds like how do you remember all that when there’s so much stuff in this game? I’m trying to get the 10 boss achievement but no joke I usually die either on the first boss or on the way to the second boss idk how to do survival well
Like with anything, it comes from experience. Understanding movesets and boss weaknesses.

Why do you say that the laser guy on rhom is the most op elite? I personally believe the radiation mage that spawns explosive balls on your spot is the most op, I can't dodge his dmg.
In apocalypse mode his eye laser pretty much instantly melts you. Also his gas cloud he summons have insane tracking and can also instantly melt you. He's insane and I usually just run away from him. Edit: we are talking about the same elite. The radiation mage
@@BoltJamison Those are two different mages actually. The second type appears in adiff rhom dungeon type.
@@75g53 if you're talking about the mage in the dungeon with the doggos and gunmen Bolt is right, the mages in the skulls dungeons are much stronger. They also don't spawn as often at least on normal or hard. I dont know what ridiculousness they throw at you on Apocolypse but everything can pretty much one shot you on that difficulty anyway.
If i happen to stick around, but am still a level or 2 above the area, is that still ok?
For example, is it harder if i am level 4 and the area level 2 as opposed to being level 10 in a level 8 area?
You want to out level or be as close to the level as the enemies are. That way you keep up with your damage and taking damage

@@Ebiru2387 of course it matters. That means you are stronger than they are you will deal more damage and take less damage from them.
@@BoltJamison Thank you but I don't think you are understanding my question. What i am asking is if i am level 10, and enemies are level 8 then that means i have 2 levels over them. But does having 2 levels over the enemy at level 2 (gear and traits aside) comparable to being 2 levels above at 10? Sure i have more HP and Stam, but they are stronger too of course.
Reason i ask is because i take my time but i still remain at least 2 levels above my enemy, but wonder if i should pick up the pace because PERHAPS facing higher level enemies is more difficult than lower level enemies despite always being 2 levels above them in each scenario.
I hope that makes sense.
@@Ebiru2387 , I think your concern is valid, but doesn't matter too much in practice. Watch Bolt's apocalypse survival part 2 and see how fast the enemies outlevel him without xp trinkets. You should probably just speed through if you're already full build and are already outleveling the enemies

I was Using the beam rifle glitch. It ramps up all damage. It's getting fixed in the next patch tho so have fun with it now.

@@xVanix_ it has a ramp up feature built in for itself but for whatever reason, any incoming damage dealt to an enemy being shot at by the beam rifle, it's damage gets ramped up too with the exception of DOTS like bleed and burn. Every other damage get ramped up as long as someone it shooting the beam rifle while the enemy is receiving damage.
One of the worst modes I've played in any game, constantly swamps you with enermies, most of the traits are worthless and the worlds aren't equal get certain worlds first you're fucked.
To each their own! I enjoy survival. Makes me use things I wouldn't ordinarily use and keeps me on my toes

I'm struggling with Survival and Bosses from Subject 2923, there's a lack of videos with tips on how to beat them at early waves :(
Just remove 2923 dlc so u wont fight them in survival thats what i did til i get the ten bosses done because they always kill me iv found survival better like this

How do u do so much damage?
Beam rifle is glitched currently. I say it in the video. It ramps up all damage, so it ramping up the swarm mod damage a ton. The next update is going to fix the beam rifle so if you want to use this exploit, enjoy it now

@@DysonGainz this was survival mode. Survival mode is all RNG.
If you want it in campaign, you can find it I. A dungeon in the Rhom world.
@@DysonGainz playing campaign or adventure mode on hard or above will get you glowing fragments as well for beating bosses.

@@kingleonidasgl8472 hive cloud works great against the adds. It kills them without having them shoot the projectile. Stay close to bait his claw swipe. If you are close, he will never summon his wombo combo clone. Apply a DOT or ping him when he goes to the ceiling to keep track of him.

@@hinokami796 dude reisum is by far the worst. The dungeons are huge and have tons of enemies. Wait till you see my next survival video coming out this week and you will see what I mean

I like the idea of survival mode, but I'm not the sort who can beat a bossfight on pure skill, I need a good weapon or mod to lean on, or preferably both, and since a survival run is a complete waste of time unless you beat a boss, there's no much motivation to play it =\

@@rotony1 i don't think the game will ever be dead per se, just look at Borderlands 2. That game is still going strong and has a big community. Remnant will die in popularity yes but I will keep the Remnant content alive as long as I can until the sequel. I do want to incorporate some other games in as well tho.

Today this game is ridiculous, survival is broken and impossible to play. ON ps4 normal is harder than apocalypse on PC, devs completely fucked up this game. They won't get a penny from me for Remnant 2, scum....

@@BoltJamison Bosses are crazy, they behave unpredictably, they are faster and more aggressive than 3 years ago when I played survival with my friends. Thrall is bugged sometimes he stuck under the wooden structure, Ice conjurer destroys fence with one iceicle... two times in a row game crashed on 9th and then 10th boss. Was there any update in the last year or two that fucked up the game which we are not aware of? Last night I almost kicked PS4 and TV through the window bcs stupid game crashed on 10th boss, that is last trophy i've been waiting for years and the game keeps screwing me.
