    You are awesome Chelsea!!! Thank you for doing these cool tutorials and patterns and your cheerful spirit. I now have two Ilfords cut out...one in summer fabric and one in autumn fabric. xx Karen. Will be my first buttonholes in many decades. Will use the autumn one for travel. May try to put a zipper on one of them for safety.

    Thank you Chelsea. It is so kind that you went to the bother to make these videos. Particularly helpful with the sleeve plackets.

    Well, my mind is blown. I am always so jealous of my husband's jackets and shirts that have patch pockets inside, and now I'm totally going to use your pattern and instructions to add some deep interior pockets to my favourite jackets!!

    Thank for sharing this video. It’s been extremely helpful, while making my way through this project. One question, how do you ensure the buttons line up with the buttonholes?

    Great pattern and video. Question - any suggestions for a hack that would allow for a zipper instead of pockets?? A heavy metal zipper might look really cool and be a nice change up from buttons. Thanks for the excellent instruction.

    • @FridayPatternCompany
      @FridayPatternCompany  Před 2 lety

      That would be cool! I think you would need to remove the integrated placket and then create a facing. I'll add it to my list of ideas for future hack videos!

    Hi, great videos thank you 😊. I’m just wondering if you sized down for the jacket you made?

  • @GypsyNanny
    @GypsyNanny Před 2 lety

    I was taught if you see your front placket down you do the buttonholes up and down not side to side.

    • @FridayPatternCompany
      @FridayPatternCompany  Před 2 lety +1

      Generally, buttonholes are sewn vertical on shirts and horizontal on jackets. But it doesn't really matter and you can place the buttonholes whichever way you want!
