Trains don’t spawn naturally between the bridge explosion and the epilogue, you have to use a mod, so the devs wouldn’t have bothered to add in the crash animations
Back in the good old days of online you used to be able to sometimes take the train on the entire 1907 part of the loop on the 1899 map, meaning the train would just float through and above terrain

you can actually get a train after the bridge is blown up without mods if you didnt go to the cigarette card collector guy and after the bridge is blown the guy still gets on a train which you can steal and drive to the broken bridge

Train tracks are scripted paths. Unlike the horses and horse wagons, the train won’t be affected by missing bridge, or missing track.
It's still considered a track by the code, it just doesn't spawn any trains on that line after the mission.
Had a feeling that train never derails outside of story missions
