@Charlotte Raynes _Dark Shadows_ is terrible. _Alice in Wonderland_ is a CGI overload, much like _WIlly Wonka and the Chocolate Factory._ _Sleepy Hollow_ is an interesting take on the original story. _Sweeny Todd_ is cool for a musical (even if the trailer hid that it was a musical). _Corpse Bride_ was spooky and fun. _Ed Wood_ and _Edward Scissorhands_ are masterpieces. Some are really good and some are awful.

The #6 Runaway Guys Fan this may sound weird but I heard that Battle of Gods was because of that shit storm, so should we be thankful, so to speak, for it? Battle of Gods and Resurrection were awesome! But the letdown that was Super was, for me, the killing of the series. In my opinion he should have stopped at the end of Z or after Battle of Gods/Ressurection.

At least I was lucky enough for that not to happen here (even though there's this random channel that airs it every Christmas).
And, also, the voices aren't really that annoying. At least they had the smart idea to hire good voice actors and not make the voices too high pitched(the dubbed version, cause They almost never air the subtitled versions.)

Well to be fair Dragon Ball was a manga series, so technically its more of a comic adaption.
It would be like calling the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtle movie a live action cartoon movie when majority of the plot lines of that film was lifted from the comics.
@@reinat.1534 No. Its not. I mean X-Men had a cartoon that was based on the comics of the same name but the movie barely resembles said show. Same for Justice League which barely have any plot elements from the Bruce Timm cartoon. And don’t get me started with Avengers in comparisson to Earth’s Mightiest Heroes.
The fact is TMNT movie is an adaption of comics rather then cartoon especially when a lot of the plot points and characterization are taken from the comics rather then their cartoon counterpart.

The Lion King is the worst of the Disney remakes (even by live-action remake standards. And before anyone asks, NO, JEM AND THE HOLOGRAMS NEVER HAD A LIVE-ACTION MOVIE AND THERE IS NO SUCH THING AS BRATZ!!!!!!!!!!! That and Avatar: The Last Airbender and Dragonball are anime franchises that never even had live-action movies!!!!!!), but I’ll give it this, if there is just one thing that it’s the best at more than anything else, it’s over-grossing at the box office even though there’s a good chance that sometime later in (and ever since) the 2020s, it’s only gonna be mildly successful at most.

I actual love the Scooby-Doo remakes and thoughts the actors fit the characters perfectly. I mean the stories and jokes could’ve been better, but I’m glad it wasn’t put on the list, because there are concepts and acting that redeem them in my opinion.
The worst thing about the Jem and the Holograms movie is that, unlike most of these adaptations, where you can give the benefit of the doubt and claim that the creators were at the very least TRYING to respect the source material and its fans, it was an outright open INSULT to the fans.
They asked fans to submit videos of themselves saying why they loved the original cartoon, and they edited it to look like they were talking about the character Jem in the movie, who has almost nothing to do with the original character. I'm not sure if any other movie adaptation has ever stooped so Low.
And the best part about it was the director said something along the lines that the fans will have no problems with the story. I wasn't a fan of the show but I knew it was going to be a shit show.

Fun fact about Dragonball Evolution. The person who plays Piccolo in that movie is James Marsters, the same person who later voiced Zamasu in Dragon Ball Super! I don't know about the rest of the cast, but he was redeemed after being a victim of that garbage heap.

So, you know those "interviews" of fans of Jem and a bunch of famous people from Jem and the holograms? Those famous people interviews were down right stolen and put out of context from the original interviews. And the fans? They got that from LYING to the fans! How did they do that? They told fans "hey film yourself saying why you love Jem and you we will put a few of you in the movie!" Basically, they acted like it was a contest for a minor role in the film, when, in fact, they just USED THE FOOTAGE THAT WAS SENT IN! Lying, conniving bastards!

I saw Transformers 4 in cinema and that's exactly how I experienced it too!! I can enjoy the first 3 and accept them as fun, silly, over the top action blockbusters, but for some reason that one just completely drained me! I tried watching it again and I still retain NOTHING! It's kind of amazing, especially when you realize there's MORE! But I can't imagine any of them could get as bad or worse than that one did.
That was what happened to me too! I enjoy the first three Transformers movies because they were part of my childhood. But when I saw Transformers 4, there was nothing really exciting. It was just pure boredom. And believe it or not, I never saw Transformers 5 and I still didn't because how much I hate the movie. But I did however saw Bumblebee, and it was really fresh.
Transformers 4 is personally draining to me because it has so many cool ideas, but they’re almost all horribly utilized, and it’s hard seeing all the potential get squandered at every turn. Also the human cast in this one is just really corny in the worst way. Everyone just seems like a huge jerk for most of the film, and it’s just bloated with too much stuff. Lockdown was cool tho, and Galvatron was kinda neat.

I didn't have too many issues with the Smurfs movie, mainly because I saw it when I was younger. The main problem I had was how everything was absolutely perfect with the plot. By that, I mean it just so happened that there was a blue moon in like, 2 days after they get stuck. Doesn't make sense.
Crystal Controller smurfs 2 and smurfs the lost village was terrible squeals in my opinion the first live action smurfs was better than the other two

It's easier to forget the Percy Jackson movies when you have the 8 movie plus 1 new spin off movie and even more extra books and a play that can be turned into a movie masterpiece franchise that it Harry Potter. How to Train Your Dragon was loosely based off a book (note the term loosely).

I remember when I had my open heart surgery at the age of 5, the only 2 movies they had were the live action smurfs and Live action Chipmunks (the originals, obviously)
I keep saying this but, if there’s any movie that I REALLY genuinely want to see a live action remake of, it’s The Last Unicorn. It’s incredibly underrated but also a phenomenal film. But since it was made in the 80s, the animation hasn’t really held up all that well, at least in my opinion. A live-action remake would be perfect because there are some aspects of the movie that would actually look so much more awesome in live action, and it would draw more attention to the movie.
Look on Wikipedia for upcoming Disney movies. You're going to have to make another one of these in a couple years...Winnie the Pooh(Inspired by 2010 Alice in Wonderland), Lion King(There were literally no humans in it), Chip and Dale(I wonder what they're trying to cash in on), and other cartoons and movies that had almost no human characters shall all be in live action!
Oh, and Inspector Gadget is getting remade, but I honestly believe it could be done better.
I think that the Winnie the Pooh movie could be decent, but it's clear that Disney just wants your money ever since the Lion King remake has been confirmed.

I would have also put "Maleficent", "The Sorcerer's Apprentice", the "Mr Magoo movie" and the direct to TV live-action movies of "Ben 10" and "Fairly Odd Parents".
I liked Maleficent, never knew Sorcerer's Apprentice came from something, so I liked it, never watched Mr. Magoo, never watched the Ben 10 movies (although I have no idea how anyone could mess that idea up), and I liked the Fairly Oddparents movies as a kid, which I HATE myself for.
This is just my opinion, but I find Maleficent way more watchable than Sleeping Beauty.

The characters from Rurouni Kenshin look superb in the live action Rurouni Kenshin movie. The Rurouni Kenshin live action movie is one of the best live action movie adaptation of cartoons/anime

I remember very distinctly on 7/11/2014 my parents took me to this drive-in theater. It was playing a triple feature starting with How to Train Your Dragon 2, Transformers 4, and Maleficent (in that exact order). It was a really neat experience. It was unique and fun. I remember my excited 14 year old self excited to go and see all three. I was a really big fan of How To Train your Dragon and I've always had a very odd admiration for Maleficent (she's always been my #1 Disney villain). While I was not so much a fan of Transformers, I still enjoyed watching them. The graphics were always cool and I always liked Bumblebee and enjoyed how creative it was that he could only talk via the radio. But that whole time at the drive in theater i just remember being bored to death with transformers 4 and just begging and begging for it to end. It finally ended and then Maleficent started at 1 am (waay too late for my 14 year old self). My mom told me that I cried when she told me we weren't gonna stay and watch Maleficent because of how late it was. Transformers was not just a bad and boring movie, but because of that experience it single-handedly despise an entire series of movies.

I agree with you but I found it's only sequel mediocre. The completely animated straight to DVD adaptations (Garfield gets real, Garfield's fun fest, etc) will probably be better.
I thought it was middling, but I did find a couple of bad mistakes, one Nermal was grown up and two he was a siamese cat when he is supposed to be a silver tabby cute kitten whereas I find him frightening and looks like a demonic hellspawn, however compared to the Simpsons movie, the Garfield movie is pure gold although on the other hand, it should have been animated and had Herbert and Reba making a few cameo appearences.

I watched the Yogi Bear movie while on a plane to visit my relatives in NYC, and I forever associate it with an incredibly uncomfortable experience.
Even though Media Hunter Reviews did not show anger towards Yogi Bear (2010), he really does not like it.

The Rocky and Bullwinkle movie is one of the best live action adaptations of a cartoon out there. I love how it builds the world off of that. Also, the first GOOD Transformers live action movie was Bumblebee, specifically if you loved the cartoons. Felt the most like it, especially the designs of the robots on Cybertron at the start of the movie. I hear a sequel is in the works.

I think the animation in the 2002 Scooby Doo film was pretty good for the time.

An honorable mention for me is Rocky and Bullwinkle. The moose and squirrel may not be very well animated, but there is just something entertaining about them. Decent humor and self awareness make it better than most live action remakes.

There is nothing wrong with the live action version of Alice in Wonderland. Unlike its animated version counterpart, this one actually lives up to the original story for the most part.

Fire masters create fire, in this movie they are just slowly slowly as fuck taking flames from torches
and the Earth measters are soo slow at reacting, in the cartoon Earth masters used to move rocks at the speed of goddamm light, like you blink and all the sudden you see a Mountain moved
it'a soo epic, and I think the water masters are acurate because they pick up water relatively slow but still it's an insult
If you want to see a Wonderland in ruin I recommend Splintered and it's subsequent sequels by A.G. Howard. It's a really amazing dark twist on the original story about Alice's great-great-great granddaughter Alyssa, who has to fix Wonderland after Alice messed it up years and years ago.

The only live action film based on a cartoon I liked was Maleficent but that's only because it wasn't a remake and actually brought something new to the table. I used to be scared shitless of the original cartoon Maleficent when I was a kid but somehow the live action version made me legitimately sympathize with her! That scene where she got betrayed and her wings cut off in her sleep was downright heartbreaking and made me fully understand how Maleficent became the evil character who once terrified young me. Knowing the shit she had to go through really does add some depth to her character and the parts where she acts as a mother figure towards Aurora made me realize that maybe she isn't as terrible as we once thought. If any movie can take such an infamous character like Maleficent and make her likeable in any way, they must've done an excellent job!

I love a lot of Tim Burton's films, but I hated his take on Alice in Wonderland, it was very slow in the beginning, I hated Johnny Depp's portrayal of the mad hatter

My mom likes the movie because she never watched the show because she never liked anime. What i'm saying is if the title death note wasn't on the cover it would be good or ok but that title and what we got didn't go together i really didn't like light's character at all.

I don't think all the live action remakes are bad. Disney did a good job with the live action Jungle book and Beauty and the beast.

When I saw the live action version it made me think of the original animated version that apparently added new songs and a couple of new scenes like a stage play. Honestly if I were to choose my favorite Disney live action remake, it would have to be the Jungle book.

The biggest problem with this movie is that since Depp played the Mad Hatter in a Burton's movie, his role was made more important than it should have been. We see him more than we do Alice and she's the freaking heroin.
