- Today we are going to have a look a the insane amount o power cargo helicopter pack to lift giant objects. The Top 10 Largest helicopters in the world have an incredibly high capacity and lift heavy equipment easily. Cargo Helicopters are used if a heavy object needs to be lifted and a normal cran cannot get to the location or the object needs to be lifted too high for such a crane. Especially in remote areas like first or mountains, these heli come in handy.

The first time I was in an S64 for a max climb test crazy crazy. No idea how many G's we pulled. Fantastic aircraft to jump from too.
The K Max 1200 definitely cannot lift 2x more than a Bell 214B/B1 or the 214ST the bell 214B/B1 is rated to 8000lbs on the hook and the 214ST to 7,900lbs. Though most companies limit it to 6000lbs for component and airframe longevity BUT it will lift a good bit more than it’s rated 8000lbs with logging companies in the 90s reporting successfully picking up 9000lbs-12,000lbs logs.
I logged with a 214 here in British Columbia years ago,buddy was regularly taking 9-10 thousand off us at the end of the cycle😊. Logged under the skycranes,K-max, S61,Kamovs, you name it,miss those days.
