It’s amazing seeing the difference between the cold, calculated strats of the All Shrines runs and hitting a Lynel to death with a metal crate in a challenge run.

My advice would to be to try and use burning grass so then you can float up and rain a barrage of arrows at them (I suggest the royal bow for this cause it has a high attack and one of the fastest drawing speeds)

I see it as this:
Seeing as the Bow of Light is basically forced on you at the end, and all other weapons were optional, you did beat the game without weapons.
Like in the no coins Odyssey run, where you had no choice but to get one coin, if the game forces you to do it, then it doesn't count as part of the challenge.
So, not including the one time the game forced you to use a weapon, you successfully completed this challenge. Congrats!

it isn't really a valid challenge unless you can go all the way even if you have to break the game to accomplish it.

Technically the bow of light isn’t forced. You can use any bow to defeat Ganon. Only advantage to the bow of light is that it’s infinite use. But yeah a bow is forced.

Portal taught me about the importance of my companion cube, but this run truly opened my eyes to it's proper usage.
Later on it looks like there is a nack to using them that is pretty effective to be fair.

95% of fighting Lynels the normal way is getting the timing down for the dodge/flurry rush. And the other 5% is having enough weapons that you won't run out before the fight is over. They're actually pretty easy once you get the hang of it.

fun fact: if you use the motion aim option, you can swing metal stuff around with motion controls. it is a lot faster and does more damage

@@NoahHalfSquid Because blocking (not parrying) attacks lowers the shield's durability, and Guardian Lasers in particular instantly destroy any shield except the Hylian and Ancestral shield.

I always thought on my first play through that you would get the blights weapons after you killed them and when I was struggling to beat my first one (thunderblight) I thought “wow the wait will be so worth it!” But no... Scimitar of the seven...

When I tried to transfer the durability of the hylian shield into my other shields for the first time with menu overloading, I did it backwards and ended up giving the hylian shield crappy durability
Cant even beat a Lynel or Ganon normally, but ant out here absolutely clapping them 👏🏻

With enemies continuously regenerating, I think it is impossible. I can't even kill bokoblins with boxes. (Though I was never very good at killing things with magnesis.)

I once encountered one of those flying guardians. At first, I used Magnesis to move a metal box to protect me from the lasers, but then I hid behind a wall and spent at least 10 minutes whittling its health down to 0 with only the box. Worth it.
