Hi Mike! I remember you for sure! This is Tim Lillethorup. I'm in contact with Grubbs, Baumert and Reason fairly often. Doug Olson lives overseas and haven't seen him in a while. Doug and I were both still racing in 2010! Sadly and tragically, Randy Gibson passed away a few years ago. He was hit by a drunk driver while riding his gravel bike outside of Lincoln. It was awful. Randy was the best. We had a memorial service ride for him. I think about Randy every time I ride.
This is amazing and VERY well done!! I grew up racing in Papillion, NE in the early and mid ‘80’s. This brought back a ton of great memories. The still shots and the stories are killer. I just got back in to racing BMX last year at age 48 and I’m loving it. Thanks for making this RAD documentary. I’ll definitely be buying some swag. 🤙

Pretty cool story of the history of BMX racing and father and son team work... That is something that is definitely lacking today instead of sitting in the house staring at the phone like I am right now.
What an awesome video. I was around in the late 70s and early 80s riding a Peugeot CPX 100. Our local neighborhood in west Omaha made tracks and jumps in open lots. In the early 80s we built a great track just south of 150th and Harrison. AC Anthony Chambers in your video still competes. Just in the last 5 months I have restored several 80s bmx bikes including a Peugeot, a few Schwinns, Roger Decoster and working on a Redline. Thanks for putting this together.

I got him hooked on vintage BMX racing and we have gone to DirtyFest, Frogtown, Texas Classic BMX days and the USABMX Vintage Nationals together! He went to Guy Cooper's vintage race in Oklahoma in June and won on his Roger DeCoster! (I couldn't go to that one). Cheers Bruce!
