This was so informative, thank you! Would this kind of drill and bit set be useful in drilling gemstones as well, or would something stronger be needed? I know the diamond dip drills are fairly standard, I'm just wondering about the motor and stuff.

Hi, this motor is not strong enough for stones., But great for glass and light polishing. You can email me for a guide on choosing a rotary tool. The bits that I use and sell are more suited for gem drilling than the average diamond bit as they have a much thicker diamond layer. [e-mail]
