Secret Service and NYPD Unmarked Police Vehicles

- New York Police Department (NYPD) and United States Secret Service (USSS) vehicles during the presidential visit of President Barack Hussein Obama. Forward flashing blue lights distinguish the USSS vehicles from the NYPD vehicles which only use red and white forward flashing lights (usually but not always!). However, some federal law enforcement vehicles in NYC, including USSS vehicles, run with forward-facing red lights only. These unmarked police cars are responding with lights and sirens. Enjoy the Secret Service in Action!

I love seeing these unmarked cars. I cant put my finger on why, but I think unmarked vehicles are sexy as hell!
hell yeah
You feel me!
Not sexy, but much cooler than your run of the mill marked car.
I have the same feeling but for women
Badass
Chevrolet suburban is the best unmarked SUV
Agree
My sister's black Chevy Suburban gets mistaken for a Secret Service vehicle all the time. It's hilarious to watch everyone get out of her way when she drives through the city. :D
LOL GTA IV
OMG. I would love for that to happen to me. xD
I know its funny as hell! I have a 2012 Suburban in black with the LTZ and all the chrome. That thing drives like a tank.
My silver Dodge Charger gets mistaken for an unmarked state trooper vehicle all the time because I have a trunk mounted CB antenna. LOL
+Antonio Montana lol I bet everyone slows down around you
Very cool stuff. Always epic seeing lots of unmarked vehicles, with lights and sirens. Particularly interesting the United States 'Secret' Service vehicles, covered in lights like a Christmas tree!
CobraEmergencyVideos e verdade você esta mais do que certo. mais os carros ate que esta bonitos parece ate carros de corridas mano
whelcome the international hip hop awards of gangsta cops!
3:20 the unmarked crown vic looks gorgeous
0:58 is my favorite vehicle
@Sunburn2007 This video contains unmarked NYPD vehicles and unmarked Secret Service vehicles. NYPD doesn't use forward-facing blue lights and federal law enforcement vehicles based permanently in NYC may adopt the forward-facing red lights as well. Take a walk around the Federal Building on Broadway in Manhattan and look closely at the vehicles with the "Federal Law Enforcement" placard on the dash.
1:53 "Vous l'avez pas vu !"
French moment *-*
the jeep surprised me
1999samtheman Me too. Confused as to why they have such an old Grand Cherokee in the mix?
15sixmedia exactly, whos gonna expect that truck to be a cop car. they will catch more people breaking the law. i live in nyc. i see unmarked cars all day but never a jeep
1999samtheman whats next a bus
Jeff The Gaming Llama haha probly. my local precinct has like stock looking cars. ford fusions, impalas, and they are like any random color, very light window tint and lights.
Jeff The Gaming Llama You never know. Don't know if they still do, but New South Wales Police had a Mercedes bus in the centre of Sydney as a mobile command. Plenty around being used as mobile Random Breath Testing stations.
Hey now. I drove one decked out and they do amazing actually. Handles well, and great for unmarked vehicles.
the best donut store opened in NY
Still the best video on this channel ever
Why couldn't they have produced Crown Victorias for the right hand drive market? I would love to have one in Australia. Swear they have one of the most gorgeous V8s I've ever heard in my life.
I like the old jeep with the flashing headlights, nice touch
Code3paris i have a question.what is the name of the light bar in the top of the roof of chevy suburban?
@TheSickness1001 USSS vehicles in motorcade are flown in by plane. Other USSS vehicles NOT in motorcade are permanently based in NYC as they are throughout the country, not involved in presidential protection which is only part of what they do as you know.
many of our response cars have nothing more than a lightbar, or a lightbar and 2 grill lights, and they still move way faster through heavy traffic. Here the average response speed of a big fire truck in city traffic is around 40 mph...
What type of siren did that yelp come from at the very beginning? I've only heard it once in real life and just curious to know what siren it is. Anyone know?
2:31, thats the most BAD ASS CAR IVE EVER SEEN IN MY ENTIRE LIFE!!!!! LOVE IT!
its like a roadshow. different black cars showing off different patterns of flashing red and blues
@ChrisDeAndreDiaz
True, the Secret Service doesn't register their vehicles in NYS :)
All those unmarked police cars looks really nice!!!
@noordwinter 2:31 Black SUV got lights visible from the side. But strange that verry few had that..
do you know the sirens type for this secret service car? is it whelen or what?
your right, the only one that i could not identefie without the lights would be the ford escape @ 1:20
I've seen someone get lit up by an undercover BMW M3...i would have never guessed.
I like American police cars, especially when it's switch blue & red lights, and long siren sounds. 🚔🚨
0:48 That was the Cleanest/Meanest Impala I seen Luv it.
What model is the chevrolet (last one) ?
@code3paris but they lack US Goverment tags...they have NYC tags
NYPD Unmarked Car: -sees Secret Service- Lets just slowly scoot over. It’s just ONE OF THE MOST POWERFUL PEOPLE IN THE WORLD!
We use that Chevrolet SUVs too. They protect president. Also president uses a Maybach
Like wtf.. why have unmarked police / secret services cars in america always so many lights on the cars? And so many colors! Where i came from they have only lights in the grill / on the roof and behind the back window, and all of the lights are only blue! Much better then this typ of cars.. looks like a christmas tree to me! And it ugly to, but i think because i'm not use to that! Great video btw!
well and it also helps the own economy; it's the same thing over here, here you hardly find US produced cars used by the police, but rather BMW, mercedes and Volkswagen; e.g. most of the patrol cars used by the Bavarian State Police are BMW 3 and 5 series
What engine has the 9C1 Impala?
@Slavoua Oh yeah, I remember hearing that NYPD cars have do not tow stickers on them from some other video :/
New low frequency siren they are starting to roll out. Heard em a few times. They get your attention even if your music is blasting.
0:00 - 0:07 . What is the brand name and model of that siren!??
hmm non of those crown vics have that chrome line on the front and rear bumper. i wonder what year those cars are.
What siren was that first one?
Nice video of proper Police and Secret Service Agents. Nice wheels!
Wow, a rotating dash light and Vector light bar! strange things in new york.
Hint : I'm not talking state law here.
Hint : There are laws out there that supersede state laws...
1:13 i like that light bar idea
Is the secret service like the mets dpg? great vid btw.
I am talking about the flashing red lights. Sorry if I didn't state that correctly.
Still have my CVPI with the SAP package. Love driving it.
5 STARS GTA V
Fftty
GTA IV*
what was the first siren on this video, sounds good
Man erkennt die amerikanischen Zivilwagen mit Lichtern an 3 mal so gut wie ein vollbeleuchtetes deutsches normales Polizeiauto :D
Those cars said : Move your ass I've got a fucking unmarked Crown Vic'
Well if you read the description....
@KevinSun242 had a push bar on the front of it so im assuming yes.
Everyday something spectacular
@KevinSun242 correct
@tomy12880 Read description, tells you how to distinguish the two
I've seen those special black Tahoes escorting a VIP in Toronto last year
Love the chevy suburban rear barn door.
the crown Victoria in black is such a beautiful car!!
@firefighterhorne Nope. NY plates don't mean it's not fed law enforcement.
Oh, Low profile cars are especially used to not be immediately recognized as police cars until closer in - example users are gang units, robbery details, etc to avoid immediate recognition. Low profile. Undercover cars are some non-traditional cars that may be a porshe, rental, or "lived in" box that passes the "not a cop car" inspectioin inside and out.
@KevinSun242 yes
Where can I buy lights for my back window? I have an Impala
They have no markings linking them to a police agency, so hence the name Unmarked. Unmarked does not imply not obvious. Secret Service has SUVs with full lightbars on it, they are unmarked, but surely obvious. Terminology at its best.
those are actually mostly nypd unmarked cars. the tahoe and suburban with all the red/clear lights are the police commisioners vehicles.
i liked the impala at 49 it didn't have many leds but just enough
reminds me of 24, which car is jack in?
AT 2:20 THEY DROP OFF A HOKER..
You're not kidding. One thing I noticed visiting NY, the cops roll code EVERYWHERE.
Fun to see that its safe for the police to tint all the windows on the car. But if a civilian does it, its a big risk to the other drivers :P
You can see all those light fixtures on the bottom and the top of the car.....
Indeed not so secret
how do u tell the difference between secret service and police? we only have police in spain so was interested
@TheSickness1001 Give any Fed Law Enforcement agency a call in NYC and ask about their plate, or better yet go walk around the federal building and see how many unmarked vehicles are parked with a red light on the dash but a "Federal Law Enforcement" parking pass on the dashboard and regular NY plates on the car. I have seen literally dozens of them. Fed colors are red/blue in any state, but Feds are known to adopt the local emergency colors as well. See 01:21 for forward blues.
@mortonfiredept Oh right, thanks for the info.
at 3:26 that cop car has a Rumbler its a siren that you can actually feel. i know because if you listen you can hear your speakers sound weird
@code3paris @TheSickness1001
Guys guys, easiest way to settle this is to look at the position of the red indicators.
that chevy at 0:53 looks EXACTLY like our Australian Holden Caprice or Senator. lol GM
It is a Chevrolet Tahoe LT
The Federal Crown Vic at the beginning of the vid has a cool siren.
This video is not copyright nor is it registered
Excellent video !!! :-)
I want to know~!
The police Suv vehicle after the Ford Crown Victoria
what's the SUV's Name?
i really like the wig wag lights, its so cool!
For a moment I thought the title said Secret Service Submarines!
If you think that is over the top, read my other reply about what's inside the thing.
Why are there road blocks in the first place?
You can also say that almost every Crown Vic in America is a police car..
@KevinSun242 it's a under cover cop car or unmarked police car
The NYPD doesn't need to drive large SUV's. They should just drive the crown vics and impalas.
@cinnreds18 As do most Federal Law Enforcement vehicles parked on Broadway around the Federal building. Many Fed vehicles that are permanently based in a city use the state's license plates and not the government's plate. Not all, but most. Go down to the fed building and see how many cars with "Federal Law Enforcement" parking passes on the dashboards have NYC tags.
at 2:35 the suburban belongs to "Espo" Chief of deaprtment (NYPD)
You would think some of those cars would have more lights in the front. I could barely see the strobes.
Ahhh every state has different regulations for lights people :-) in mine volunteer police cars which are mark as volunteer uses yellow lights with yellow sirens. And police in here uses both lights when they pull over someone.
Excellent video.
Que función tiene el servicio secreto?
Great catches! 🚓🚓🚨
@ 2:38 tahoe with xmas lights?
Yes.... :?
like the movie encounter of the 3rd kind?
