We are now introducing a new Clan! This Clan was originally supposed to involve a challenge, but I am a weak person and I got too attached to the cats to go through with it LOL. So instead, please enjoy this wholesome Clan just doing their best.

They actually do retire if the injury is bad enough. The leader will pull them aside in an event when the moon changes. I had a cat that just became a warrior but retired due to the Constent Dizziness permanent condition. She was made an elder but of course you can make the cat a mediator if it doesn't sit well with your story.

I like the idea that Splashclaw is one of those cats who are both male and female, so basically he has both female and male parts
It’s something you don’t see often in real life animals and is usually removed surgically
There was a case in Australia where a female dog who had male parts was having a bladder problem and they had to remove the male part (I’m subscribed to the animal hospital that did the surgery)
Unfortunately most cases like this are actually infertile, so the chance of him having not only one but two litters is almost 0. :(

Splashclaw being male is most likely the cause of the setting 'allowing cats of the same sex to have kits', which you had turned on. (didn't watch the video fully yet - so sorry if you mentioned it later!)

One thing to keep in mind is sending apprentices in a big patrol makes them have less experience and could hold back the time they become a warrior.
Yes, that is one thing I do remember from the beginning. I'm not in any real rush to promote the apprentices.
I’ve got a feeling that Conesong is the type of cat that may have the “bloodthirsty” trait because she wants to protect her clanmates whatever the cost, and leave a legacy behind for herself to set a good example for the SURPLUS of younger cats. Followed by an interest in starclan too (BTW that is a ton of kits Splashclaw what the hec 😂)

I'd love to see Chasingpaw be named Chasingcloud because in my head he's not necessarily childish but just a bit of a cloud-head 😄 But we'll see!

Maybe Conesong’s trait is bloodthirsty because she wants to get revenge, not just for bloodlust. The Starclan cat that visited them could be why: maybe she wants revenge, justice, or even just closure for happened to them? She has shown to be quite caring for a “bloodthirsty” cat, especially with Shiningmoss.
Woah, you did an entire year in one video! I enjoy putting clan gen videos in the background while I write, and this has been just what I’ve been looking for. They way you explore each cat’s personalities and relationships is awesome to listen to!

Honestly, (besides Splashclaw having to recover from birth), the wanting to keep the kits' voices down, the secret second litter, and his being a cis-male in the game almost makes me think they may not be his... or at the very least he's not sharing them anymore. Not sure I'm super comfortable with the idea that he's a transman who had kits he wasn't comfortable with imho.
It honestly didn’t occur to me to think the kits might not be his-especially given the two litters back to back (ik males can do this but seems odd that he’d bring them straight to the Clan).
Definitely wouldn’t throw in a scenario with him being an unwilling parent in the way you described.
I’m honestly eager to explore this idea, since chances are these kits are either half-siblings, or at least one litter is adopted.

The leader and the medicine cat look more or less identical, no wonder Night'shade started putting some crow feathers in her fur. Probably got annoyed at any mix up from seeing the same fur pattern and color at a distance.
For when the cats retire to the elders den they could become mediators. I think it could even out warrior/med cats and such atleast while the clan is young

There is no official mobile release for Clan gen so any information I can give would not work.

For population control, even though I know I’m late, every 12 or so moons, I send one cat on a patrol at a time, and I have to proceed no matter what it is, so then if cats die, it’ll be sad, but atleast it won’t be exhausting remembering the names.
Wait, so I downloaded ClanGen back in 2022. Will I have to re-download it to get the newest version? (Edit: I am happy they added a way to turn off same-sex relationships. I like having some control on that part. Also, THE NEW ART. Like that imagine when you sent them on the 1st herb patrol was so pretty!)
