Wow, you just told my life story, even down to the years of being apart. We were together nearly 30 years. Y2K, messed up everything. I HATE the fact, I fell deeply and unconditionally in love with my ex. It has been nonstop thinking, dreaming, seeing him in my mind like we are still together. So the same, as he had moved on, so why do I still feel him in every way. I did try to move on. One moved out of state and the other passed. It is hard to disconnect from someone who has touched the heart of your soul for most of your adult life. I first saw him when we 6 and 8. Wow, you just told my life story, even down to the years of being apart. We were together nearly 30 years. Y2K, messed up everything. I HATE the fact, I fell deeply and unconditionally in love with my ex. It has been nonstop thinking, dreaming, seeing him in my mind like we are still together. So the same, as he had moved on, so why do I still feel him in every way. I did try to move on. One moved out of state and the other passed. It is hard to disconnect from someone who has touched the heart of your soul for most of your adult life. I first saw him when we 6 and 8. We randomly met in our teens and from that point on I unfortunately fell hard. Yes, I still thank God for that union. It took me years to realize that he only loved me and not in love, even though he fooled me that he did. I have to agree with the 2nd point. I couldn't get my old friend off my mind since October then all of a sudden he appears before me in January when I was walking on the street. We didn't speak, just gave eye contact and kept it moving. All those thoughts of him, lead me to seeing him randomly.
