Belal. His winstreak is insane whether you like it or not. Not to mention he already beat Wonderboy like three fights ago. He’s also defeated Burns and Luque. It’s important to respect the rankings and meritocracy. If we don’t that’s how we get undeserving bums like Colby squatting on their rankings and holding up the division.
Seemed to me like Colby was 1) nervous about Leon's power in the early rounds because he knew his usual wild boxing would be countered hard, 2) unsure of his gas tank after the layoff, 3) unable to shoot or plant and throw in the later rounds because his lead leg was absolutely destroyed. 4) Desperately trying to not get knocked out in front of his former acquaintance

Colby's performance was a glaring embarrassment. It seemed as though Leon was squaring off against an amateur. Colby was outmatched for four rounds, making even Nate Diaz's performance against Leon seem superior. The idiot fought solely to avoid a knockout.

At least Usman still took the fight to Colby in the rematch when Colby was not pressing forward. I use to think Usman was really boring to watch until I saw Colby vs Masvidal and just when you think it can't get any worse Leon vs Colby is probably the worst title fight in UFC history if not at least at 170.

Leon's stance switch I think was the biggest factor. Colby exposed his plan about Leon struggling to face other southpaws etc.... then Leon fluidly switched stances which I think threw him off.

This was the first UFC card I've watched where the early prelims delivered better fights than the main card. Carzy how that happened.
Happens to a third of the cards. PPVs always underdeliver. Prelims have people fighting to make a name for themselves, they are brutal and fast paced.

Absolutely brilliant analysis of the main event Izzy. What baffled me was Joe Rogans analysis post show. Gave Leon the absolute minimal credit and gave Colby excuse after excuse. It was clear that Leon was butchering him without going full send. Colby not being able to walk afterwards proof of that
