Originally completed & test driven during the week 19th July 1991 this stunning Morgan Plus 4 was originally registered to Mr F. A. May, Berkshire, through the Morgan dealer, SGT on the 19th August 1991 and supplied with the following specification:

With a quick tour around the car; your eye casting a glance over the curves and gleaming Diamond White bodywork; a visual note to the stunning Connolly leather interior and ears open as the crisp 2 litre 16 valve engine starts on the button there is no question that this Morgan states her 'quality and originality'....she's a unique and stunning classic and has been absolutely cherished by her fastidious keepers over the years.
On closer inspection the bodywork retains a wonderful lustre, the panel gaps remain entirely original and show just the odd mark, most imperceptible, which helps to confirm that we feel the car has never received any paintwork in its life. The exterior chrome, stainless steel trims, "Morgan" luggage rack, rubbers, bumpers, lights, leather bonnet strap, corner guards, badges and lenses all remain in first class condition and indeed the most recent owner of 7 years, a wonderful gent who received the Morgan as part of a 'significant' birthday, who only now has sold the car due to ailing hip joints (plus the pooch didn't like the noise), confirms that during his 'custodianship' he has never driven the Morgan in the rain.
Everything feels just right and this extends further when opening the door. Transported back in time, not just to her build date (mid '91) but to the decades past in the Plus 4s production, the interior wears a timeless quality. The leather seats shows just minor wear, it's more a beautifully softening with age, the odd crease in the Connolly leather, and yet one still feels fully supported. We love all the interior detail too; the walnut dash and door panels are just gorgeous; the smoked lenses to the sun-visors work perfectly; the upgraded stainless steel door check-straps are beautifully engineered and with her optional 'aero' screens in place we can fully imagine the 'wind in your hair, flies in your teeth' driving experience......for now, spring-time, we'll stick to the full screen / side screen set up, but for those braver still this fully spec'd car comes with full wet-weather equipment too
Mechanically this Morgan is a delight. The 2 litre 16 valve engine, Rover sourced, starts in an instant, her subtle 'bass note' exiting the car via a stainless steel exhaust system. Out on the road her steering is light and direct, the gearbox is super crisp, brakes work perfectly and weighing circa 900kg the Plus 4 offers a surprisingly good turn of speed; performance that would surprise many and yet comfortable to work perfectly for classic car touring ..... 'Morgan owners......we get it!'
Owned by Mr May until 2000, the Morgan was purchased by Lifes Motors Ltd (the Worlds oldest Morgan specialist, est 1926) in 2000, having been maintain by them since 1993. Between 1993-2017, Lifes Motors Ltd continued to maintain the car, her history file confirming 13 services, at which time she was purchased by the most recent keeper, a letter confirming his ongoing maintenance, invoices etc included, along with 22 previous MOT certificates confirming her 51k miles, Morgan supplied Chassis Record, original Brochure, 2 sets of keys etc, magazines, photos of original build etc and needless to say ahead of finding a new home, she'll pass to our trusted independent engineer for a comprehensive 'Health Check', attending to any service and pre MOT requirements, the car then sold with 12 months MOT too.
With out doubt quintessential English, some may say 'quirky' we'd observe that Morgans have that certain something very few other cars have.....a unique, charming, timeless quality; you either understand Morgan ownership or your don't. Being around this 1991 Morgan Plus 4 is to our minds an absolute joy. She offers the looks of motoring from a time gone by, but with the modern mechanics that Morgan continue to develop.
