  • Finally, Schladming has a full blue line top to bottom. With a rather long section on an actual road tho.
Overall, not the most flowy flowyrail I‘ve ridden. It‘s very flat which makes it pretty exhausting but is good for complete beginners i guess.

Hah sweeping the trails for you!
New location coming in Sunday's video. I'm curious who's been there first between us ;)

Julian ive been waiting for another awesome riding film from you in the beautiful Alps. Such a smooth riding style. What tyres do you use ?

Bit of a long one this time :P
Right now it's Assegai 2.4 front and rear. It's a good alrounder for hardpack, rocks, roots and the occasional mud around here.

@@SuspensionTraveler If the ground was looser what would be your favorite tyre then.

      @@robvanduren761 good question!
I like the Magic Mary a lot on softer stuff or even slight mud.
For dry and dusty, the DHF/DHR is a killer combo (or similar treads from other brands).
Haven't tried any of the Conti tires yet tho.
What's the common trail surface down there in NZ and best tires for it?

@@SuspensionTraveler Hi Julian - Is the Magic Mary on the front and rear ? . My Wilson has the DHF/DHR combo on now and they are worn out and im trying to figure out the best replacement.
My ebike had Der Baron Projekt on it and they were the best tyre ive ever used. I just put a set of the new Kryptotal on it and have done 3 rides. The Der Baron Projekt tyres did not have big knobs and were sticky compound. Im getting used to more knob flex on the Kryptotal which to me feels like a vague connection to the trail.
I live near Rotorua and that area has a volcanic pumice soil which has good traction all year round. The downside is its a grinding paste for all moving bike parts.
The trails you ride are so awesome i would sound like a little child all the way down. 😂

@@robvanduren761 yeah, I usually run the same front and rear on the DH bike. It's just more predictable that way.
Although, not a fan of a rear Assegai somehow.
That exact reason is why I ditched the large-knob magic marys. Just too squirmy on hard-pack for me.
Will you be posting some vids come bike season?
I'd love to see how the riding is. looks like jungle fever from what i've seen! :D
      so different and perfect dirt
