I'm in the same shoes, went to the local tackle shop and asked for some feeder. I was given flat thing and expected a ball with hole or a cage. I didn't want to look a prick so walked away thinking how am I going to stick my maggots to this
Thank you a lot! Tomorrow going to a wild lake to try it out 😊 I have 30 and 40gr feeders, and my rod is 30-70gr. Shall i buy heavier feeders and take my stronger rod on standing water? 😊

hi shaun i have always had 2-3 method feeders but never used them was unsure on howto use. i have done lots of maggot feeder fishing in the past. This year i am going to try method feeder fishing,i had a lot of sucess using cat meat last year. i was feeding by hand or catapult micro pellets and or ground bait would cat meat work as a hookbait on method ?
Can I put some particles in the ground bait/pellet mix, like some hemp and sweet corn?

the inline alloy feeder do they make a mould for them as never seen them. Ive switched from the old style to the new inline and they are excellent.
You don't need to use mould with open alloy feeder because loading is simple as fill with pellets or groundbait up to the edge of it, put your bait in the middle, and press hard with your fingers or hand and it's ready to cast :) the open alloy feeders doesn't need to be overfilled like a regular method feeder and that's why they never developed a mould for those :)
What line strength were you using?
can you tell me what is the size and model of the hook you are fishing with
Probably a size 16 barbless banded hooklenth buddy I'd ov said, but i could be wrong, try it your way and change it to your preference
Is it important to use water from the lake bud
So a matrix feeder is pretty much the same as a Preston innovation one
Way more complicated than it needed to be .. what size swivel fits into these?
how to prep pellets: you open a pack of wet pellets. it will be cheaper and simpler compared to buying and dragging all the plastic containers, sifting nets, drain bags etc. unless you are a competitive angler, but if you are, this video is not for you.
