1974 De Tomaso Pantera

This ’74 Pantera is one of the most unique, beautifully done, rare cars we’ve had the honor of owning in a long time. The exterior paint job and GT5 body kit make this De Tomaso look like something out of the newest Batman installment, and the similarities doesn’t stop there. Hop in the cockpit and you’ll find buttons and switches that appear to throw a smoke screen or eject the driver’s seat for a quick escape, but instead they power on the A/C and flip on the headlights. Under the hood, or rather the trunk, you’ll find a 351ci Cleveland engine coupled to a ZF 5-speed transaxle. Gawd if I had 130000$ this would be mine 😭😭 so beautiful. I usually don't bat an eye for ford anything, but I'm a sucker for small super cars and the Italian design is gorgeous, the American rumble is music to my ears. Purrs like a queen, looks like a beast. Best of both worlds for the 70s.

I loved the Pantera when I found out about it, and later discovered B.D. had one down the street because he couldn't pass my house without us seeing it.
He was older than us crazy kids, just riding mini-bikes around the neighborhood and stuff.
THIS BEAUTY IS A FREAKING BLAST FROM THE PAST FEW IF ANY NOT MANEY IF ANY AN LOOK AT THIS MID ENGINE 351 CLEVELAND THING MUST FLY LIKE A DREAM HANDLE, THE WHOLE PACKAGE 😮
I cannot decide if I like the rear spoiler or not, regardless the early 70's Pantera's have the best looking rear of any car ever I think.

This is a greaat example of a Pantera and its awesome. My only pick is the plug wires and routing. No wire looms etc. But thats just me. Again, what a great Pantera.

My sister had a black 1974 that her husband bought her. She had it for 2 years, then she traded it in for a 1979 Ford Mustang. The new body style had just come out for the Mustang and she loved it. And if you ask her why she got rid of it, she'll tell you... "I hated that car because it was really hard to get out of it with high heels"

I have a nicer one in Alberta Canada. 1972 No flares or bodykit, just retro supercar with tiny little bumpers like a string bikini. GT40 style exhaust on the original 351C.

why does it look so much like the lamborghini countach?
This and the Lamborghini Countach are both designed by, the the greatest automotive designer of all times, Marcello Gandini. The manufacture of the Countach started in 1974 and the Pantera -1971.
I believe the Pantera predates the Countach .
