Such a shame I'm just finding this channel now. Watched a few a your videos and they are gems. A lot of insight that has obviously come from experience. Really appreciate the time you guys took to make these!
By default, I am a "Muzzleloader", I carry a Flintlock rifle for hunting and a Howdah Hunters' Pistol in 20 ga. for small game w shot etc. That being said, This is one of the most concise, thorough and to the point videos I have seen covering way more options as well as as many pros and cons as you have discovered in the application of them. Brilliant. I will be putting this and a few others of yours in a playlist of mine for my own purposes as well as sharing "out there" Thank you, gentlemen. It really is refreshing.
Thanks. We wanted to get more into the idea of migration, animal population boom & bust cycles, but were saving it for a later video. There's just so little food out here in the bush in the lower 50, and it moves around a lot more than those of us that grew up playing Oregon Trail would like to imagine it ;) Gotta keep moving with them!
I hear ya. I didn't want you guys to feel like I was being critical (quite the opposite, very few are able to go much past cafe' table talk when it comes to this) but as in all Region specific skills, my being in Oregon rather than back in the Rockies for instance, brings inadvertent comparisons. Like I said, it is actually refreshing to have others out there talking about actual skills and techniques rather than the prepper stereotypical BS (Obama wants yer guns and the like) If you've gone through my vids and playlists, you'll note where most of my interests are and have been for more than the last 20 years, including several of your vids. I really am looking forward to seeing and, frankly, adding more of your vids :)
Thanks man! There is SO much useless "survival" BS out there we can't even keep up. Cold. Hungry. Tired. Suddenly & oddly superstitious. That's the reality of it. Man vs. Nature? No contest. Come back when you have the right clothes John Rambo. When our website was up, we went to great effort to express that we do not "live off the land". Farmers "live off the land". We're just woodsmen.
Real good ideas presented. Thanks much. The air gun also seems to be another good option for your regimen. I'll be looking forward to future videos that take us with you on your hunts. All the best.
i hunt small game, i use a uver under .22\410 savage 42, and a sling shot, im in canada so law are different, but YES stealt is the skill to practice. great video keep up the good work.
I played a LOT of paintball growing up. We were in a 3man tourney & were off the field. A kid stripped his gun to work on it in the prep area. As he put it back together, he loaded & aired it up, then bumped the trigger...before he had the muzzle protection on. I was standing about 20' away mindin my own...
if your finding your firearms to be too loud to effectively hunt you may be interested in trying out high power air rifles, some of them shoot just as fast as an average 22 lr and are more than capable of humanly killing almost all small game animals, mine makes less noise than a twig snapping underneath your foot. ammunition is also extremely cheap
Hey I like the fact that you used slingshots they're awesome I know that they're good survival tool however it looks like you got cold steel blow guns if you had a razor Broadhead darts and you shot a big animal in the heart at like 10 yards it will die within 5 minutes for sure just look at some of the videos out there on CZcams if you get a chance I know you live in the woods but make it to your local library and look it up hunting big game with a cold steel blowgun you don't even need poison so I thought I put that in there but you do a good job and I wish you guys will cover some at allows to their great survival 2 you can make it and the forest
Hi guys, enjoyed your 1 st. Attempt. Constructive criticism 1) incorrect lens used, causing rounding of arrows and staves and background trees2) constant sniffing makes for off putting viewing, otherwise keep going and grow from strength to strength H
Have you actually seen these guy do anything? They just talk. They say they have been in the woods for years. Who can confirm this? They show you stuff that anyone can. Me thinks me smells some posers.

Just off camera to the left is Whataburger, where they successfully "bagged" some game.
