I switched a while ago, I love facer but watchmaker seems more HD in looks and the customisations and complications are much better and well explained by the makers

I like the facer watch faces. I had a fitbit and most watch faces cost to use. I also agree that facer's search was poor when typing in the exact watch face name you suggested. You had to scroll a long way before finding it. We all love to go get it, go get it, go get it! I support your decision and will turn off my notifications from facer and will go get the WatchMaker app.

Came across this video while trying to find something else.
I can tell you catagorically having used and designed faces for both Facer and Watchmaker, that the feature to customise look and feel without syncing is entirely dependent on the designer adding it to the face itself. In both apps. You must have just managed to try out only faces without such function.
I will say that the scripting language in Watchmaker is far easier to use. It's not even close.

Can you please advise how to find the "ease of use" in watchmaker from the watch face creators side? The creating on phone is so cumbersome, maybe good for final touches or some basic faces, but using own resources and see every detail is difficult. Not to mention always swiping between preview and sliders area. Does one have to use tablet? Even for preparing own image resources? How does it compare with making watchfaces on computer?

How did you get watchmaker working? I have a galaxy watch active 2 and it keeps telling me i need a companion app from the galaxy store and its unavailable in canada so im out of luck unless someone sends me the app

I have not watched this video yet, but I switched from Facer to Watchmaker, Facer was a pain to use, I did not want to sign up, could not work out at all how to make or customise my own watchfaces, without signing up, switched to Watchmaker because I was after a certain GW3 watchface, found it, and it was endlessly customisable, plus I have started making and designing my own watch faces, watchmaker is pretty awesome, I don't know what I missed with Facer, but could not workout how to do anything that I can do on Watch Maker!
I have facer installed correctly on my gear s 3 watch but also want to install watch makerbut have had no luck installing the wmker companion app i' m starting to doubt that it's possible to have both apps working on one watch at the same time can you advise me as to that?, thanks.

You might have to get a full tutorial on watchmaker.. I'm have trouble trying to get the face on my watch. I just keep saying preview even after I unlockes it.. 🤷🏽♀️

I don't know if it's happened to anybody else but I could not get that app to download onto my Galaxy. Watch 6 classic. I don't know what you guys did, but if you can help please help
Never had to resend it I just open up my watch hold it down and customize it never had to do it from the app. Also if you fav your favorite ones just go to recent and add it.
Facer is good bro and the watch maker app is somewhat buggy

On facer u can tap the face on ur watch 3 times and change the color of whatever without going on the phone.

Do you know how to make the Second Hand to rotate with no ticks? Make it rotate smooth like a rolex..
In Watchmaker, you can do it by clicking on the second hand thumbnail, scrolling to rotation, hit the little circle with the down arrow, and in the freeform area that pops up, delete anything already existing in it and simply type {drss}
Am I the only one that also have a strange feeling everytime the watch use the sensor to check things ? I don't know how to explain it, but is a feeling like when you give blood, that feeling that you have less energy in that part of the body ( arm )

Wow.. That's straight shady if you ask me. How are they just going to take your likeness and use it without even sitting with you to go over things.. You definitely did the right thing in cutting all ties with them and I will definitely do the same. I'm usually the one who's always hyped for tech and I tell my husband about it. I got him and my son Watch 4 so I will update my son's watch to the new app your rolling with and tell my husband to change his too!

i stopped using all watch face apps. i used to love facer, but a lot of my old watch faces bam gone, or they cost money now. i can't stand when companies do that, so i will just stop using watch faces like that, and stick with simple watch faces. i am sorry i already paid 600 dollars for my galaxy watch 6 classic, i am not giving companies a sub fee to get access to watch faces. that's dirty.
I have been a casual watch face maker since the Moto360 1st generation. I'll make a few faces, then go a while without doing so, rinse and repeat.
I use a lot of fan art for a background on my faces. I have never sold a single one of my faces, and never will. It's just a personal hobby, and maybe someone finds it, downloads it, and enjoys it.
After all this time, I was informed that all of my faces depicting fan art (PG rated, mind you) have been taken down. That's two thirds of my creations.
I appealed their decision to no avail. So I promptly cancelled the subscription I had with them for multiple years, terminated my account, and uninstalled the app from my phone.
I will never use them again, and I hope you all do the same. Horrible customer service for someone like me who has NEVER sold one face. Ever.
