What it shows is how silly it is that some people let politics get in the way of true friendships. It’s a testament to the fact that two people can agree to disagree on something and it doesn’t have to be central to their relationship. Life still goes on.
I'm a teacher, and I've noticed that pretty much every kid for many years now knows what the word infinity means, because of these movies. I don't know how old I was when I learned what that word meant, but I know I wasn't as young as many of my students who know the word. It may not seem like a big thing, and probably isn't in the grand scheme of things, but it is neat how these movies have taught this vocabulary word to even very little kids for 20 years now.
