And the gentlemen he bought it from who owned it for 27 years. He did a lot of work to it to keep it air-worthy and up-to-date through the years, not allowing an old plane to get ancient. Like putting anti-aging cream on it.

A Cherokee Six once hauled 7 of us (including pilot) and ALL our baggage from Skagway Alaska to Juneau to catch up to the ferry we missed when the train engine broke an axle on White Pass. That was in 1974. I could not believe that little plane could take off with that load but it did with power to spare- awesome plane...and pilot!

Beautiful! I love the 235. We had a 1969 235C in the red and white with a little bit of blue on the tail paint scheme. Unfortunately it was burned by terrorists in 1977 during the Rhodesian Bush War. It was the only time I saw my dad cry. He replaced it with a Beech V35A, which in turn won its place in history as the first and only V-tail Bonanza to be equipped with twin .303 Brownings in pods under the wings. At the end of the war my father had to return it to its civilian state. After my dad passed in 1990 it was sold to a South African gentleman, who took it to Florida when he emigrated from SA.

Wonderful video. Thank you for sharing. Tom is sounds like such a cool guy. I could watch this all day. Maybe cover the Cobra as a cool side video? We all want to see Tom again lol

Greatest GA aircraft of all time, imo. I’ve trained/flown in 152s, 172s, a Grumman yankee, others…but the Cherokee was, by far, my favorite. It’s just a *friendly* airplane in every imaginable way.
