This is what I'm talking about, SHOW US THE FEATURES OF THE PHONE! that's the biggest problem with the bigger reviewers, they can upload in 8k all they want but all the reviews are shallow as hell. Imagine if they actually showed what the Galaxy phones can do, or if they took camera shots with settings tweaked instead of default settings. Dammit man. Good stuff floss.

I just wanna thank you for being the champ of the techtubers. Still throwing shade for all the old features that flagships used to have. Never stop doing it, I too miss the ir blasters, the sd card slot, the no hole punch screens and so on
I just can't understand how so many people seem to protect the companies for giving us less for more, even if it is "justified". Even if you don't care for the features, it's easy math... More is more, that's the end of it.

Yo I'd sign. It's such small technology to fit inside a phone/tablet, it's immensely handy and I'm debating whether or not to use an old Samsung tablet with IR blaster solely as a all in one remote.
I really want the headphone jack back as well and I could see it coming back in a few years as phones have kinda reached a peak until we get some new cheaply mass produced technology is introduced very soon. They can only get so thin until you have to make the body from a new metal like a solid piece of tempered steel or medium Or soft tempered titanium (would be best).

On Samsung I can pirate or torrent on it, download apk/apps from anywhere, eq music all I want, and scheduled text messages so I don’t gotta spend time texting lazy roommates to pay the shit. I had Samsung send them texts automatically every week reminding them to pay the rent or internet etc. iPhone hasn’t got this feature while androids had it for like 5+ years.
If you need rules and structure, go iOS. If you like max freedom, stick to Android.

@@zalan9781 it does. Some people keep all their pictures on the phones. If you've got a phone where you've got media both on the internal storage AND microSD,if you upgrade to this, you're assed out. You have people who don't want to use Bluetooth because that's another device to charge. They're assed out too. You've got people who don't have USB C bricks lying around. They're assed out too with no charger in the box. Guess their $1200 ain't as valuable too? Sometimes we gotta stop making excuses for half assed moves like that from these OEMs.
@@droid1appmkr if you order one, you would have known that Samsung gives u 200 credits for accessories. that 200 credit got me a cam, BLUETOOTH BUDS PRO and a SUPER FAST 25 WATTS WALL CHARGER. yeah, I get it, it didn't come with the phone but still got it for free from SAMSUNG. This day and age, doesn't matter if u got a 1tb phone or 32g phone, we all back up our pictures and videos on a computer or on Facebook, Instagram or whatever if u need to share a certain picture, hop on Facebook and share it so the SD card slot missing is no big deal.

I hated seeing pop up add every time I'd search for new widgets, clock faces, or icon packs. Thankfully, however, you can disable them via samsung store settings.

I decided to go back to the S21 Ultra. I have had the S22 Ultra, 13 Pro max, and Pixel 7 Pro since then but I miss the Phantom finish and form factor. Also battery life was pretty great. Ebay had the 512 16GB model in excellent refurbished condition with a one year warranty for $539 and I am looking forward to getting my hands on one again. Its the GOAT. The last time I loved a phone like that was the OnePlus 7 Pro. Should be supported into 2025 too.
it was the perfect phone, capable of doing anything and doing it well. mine killed itself but I wasn't gentle with it so thinking of getting an s23 ultra since they're changing the camera setup with the s24u. I'll miss the design of the s21 tho, how can they make something so nice and then revert back to regular boring rectangles for the next 2 years
This phone is very similar to the Oneplus 7 Pro.
Floss is the only tech CZcamsr that can make a video/movie and everybody watches the entire thing all the way with smiles on there faces
I contacted Samsung and told them I was about to buy the Samsung Galaxy 21 ultra and noticed it does not come with a charger and told them I changed my mind as I think its an insult to charge a high price for a phone and not include a charger. They responded saying if I buy the phone they will send me a charger free of charge lmfao

I went from v20 to S21 Ultra. The LGv20 is no S21U but it was very very under red even today. The microphones, the cameras (at the time). But my Ultra is boss.

I did a lot of soul searching when it comes to this phone. Simply put, had I not previously bought the Note 20 Ultra, I'd probably already own this one by now. And for a time, I still really relished the idea of finally having a phone that can do quadHD+ AND 120hz refresh rate at the same time. But having really thought on it, I finally came to the realization of what I'd be giving up to own this phone. For one, I'd have to trade in said Note 20 Ultra if I had any hopes of affording it. $1200 is just way too high in our current economic climate. But for the prospect of having the "perfect" display, I'd be sacrificing:
- microSD expansion
- MST support for card payments using the phone (NFC only greatly limits that digital card reach compared to MST)
- Always on-the-go S Pen availability right in the phone
Sure, I'd always be limited to FullHD+ while using 120hz refresh rate, but honestly, I find it's not as big a deal as I once thought it was. And the Snapdragon 865+ compared to the 888 is, as Floss said, not noticeable in everyday usage. Maybe someday in the future, when a phone is released that keeps those three things that the S21 series gives up while keeping the combined quadHD+ and 120hz refresh rate, I'll possibly trade in my Note 20 Ultra for that...assuming they offer a helluva trade-in deal for it. Otherwise, I'm perfectly content with holding onto this phone for the foreseeable future.
I love this phone but I decided to upgrade to the note 20, coming from a S10 plus. I think I made a great decision for now🙌

Great Review! Switched from a iPhone 8 Plus to a Note 20 Ultra this year. Wanted the S21 Ultra, however, the deal breaker for me was no charging brick included and no SD card slot. Those two reasons alone are why I went with a Note 20 Ultra--plus the S pen sits inside the phone.
Do you feel the camera is as good as S21 Ultra? I am about to get new ...currently have note 8 ! I don't know that the pen is a deal breaker. Expandable storage is tough though . But camera is super important! Thanks !

Thank you for talking about the sd card slot. There was no reason to remove it. If another phone comes out similar to Samsung with an sd card slot thats where I'm going.
I love SD card slots and am sad to lose it, but there are legitimate reasons:
1) Most people don't use them anymore.
2) They have slower access speeds and it can negatively impact the phone performance (supposedly) compared to the internal storage.
Still... I will miss it.

The more things were able to do year after year on our phones the more space we need.
There's probably a lot of photographers who just use there phone but 256 gb only gets you so far.
So unless they want to start giving us 1tb phones for the same price as a 256 gb (where your still out some storage because you could get a 1tb memory card ON TOP OF your 256 gb or 128 gb) Then I would include the memory card slot.
Also for me. My phone slows down when I'm running out of internal storage so I move files to the SD and I'm good again. Not sure what performance issues they're talking about but I've had excellent performance with sd cards.
@@ThePat-yu6st yeah, it greatly depends on the card you buy. I bet they don't want people buying crap cards, experiencing slow speeds/lag, then saying Samsung phones are slow or whatever. It's definitely a risk, however small.
Yeah, I'm glad they're offering 512GB on phones now (not all, but some). I think a 1TB option isn't far from being normal. Wasn't there already a Galaxy S that had that option? I vaguely recall that.
@@dansourile5444 I'm not sure but if that's the reasoning put on the box speeds very by memory card. I forgot about the 512 gb phones but just having the option to use a memory card even if I/people don't use it makes me want to be a loyal customer. The more that's taken away makes me wonder what other companies are doing. I've been a Samsung customer for 5 years. I never left because there were no problems to me. If another phone brand allows a memory card and similar setup to Samsung who knows when or even if I'd want to come back and a lot of other people feel the same.

I'm still on my Galaxy S10 Plus. Honestly, with Samsung going full Apple mode, I may as well get an iPhone 🤷 I'm not sold on the S21s. All the important stuff (to me) that I couldn't get on iPhones is gone.

I feel that. I'll go pixel if the 6 is any good. Samsung is tripping hard. My Note 9 has more relevant features than the 21. I may as well keep this until it dies. And I love getting new phones.

Just pre-ordered, and you are absolutely right. If they removed the charging brick, because they care about the environment then why not start with the pamphlets? It's 2021!! You can't tell me they couldn't print a link to all important phone info right onto the box. There ya go, Samsung. I saved you some paper...now give me my damn charger!!
A charging port isn't going to cause the end of the world. Put a charging port on the damn phone. Especially paying $1,200 for it.
