dude not gonna lie, even tho i am a grown adult this is a nice reminder how to put things into perspective in what i need to know and do before going to a card convention. And this is really good for anyone knew into the scene so they can go in confidently and wiith a good head on their shoulders in trying to get everything they want or getting the most within their budget. Dude this is incredibly helpful and such a relevant video. As someone just coming back into tcg’s after like a 15 year hiatus, I went to a con a few months ago and was completely overwhelmed with all of the different vendors and variety of cards themselves. I was constantly stepping aside to check the value on cards to not overspend and was so intimidated. This kind of video reminds me of why CZcams rocks with connecting people with content that answers questions we didn’t even know we had. Thanks alot man!

i went to my first show(mid-atlantic sports card show) last weekend with the goal to only buy. it was fun but i really need to pay the extra $8 and go early next time, not so much for the deals but because the place was PACKED. there were only 8 tables of pokemon but each one had a crowd the whole time. the weather was bad, raining and hot, so the place felt like a very smelly sauna by noon. did manage to drop $4k on BBs and slabs i wanted, and looking at market prices with tax and all i got well over $5k of value, so its 100% worth it to go. got a case of fusion strike for 1300!

Hi there, love all your videos and you give a lot of insight! Really wish there were such cool conventions here in Italy as you do in the US, sadly none of that here and sellers rarely accept trade or lower prices
Loved all these tips, I maybe would've added that other than being the first person in the door for deals you can also find deals last few hours of the last day so people don't take home so much stuff

Bumping the algorithm ❤ love the channel and the vendor pov's just got back into the hobby. Havent collected since i was a kid, my son has done it the past couple years but the 151 series pulled me back in. I decided im only doing psa cards and i just got my first one its a marill holo from the japanese southern islands set in a 9. For the moment anyway i figured id seek out 9's and save myself quite a bit of $ while still getting a mint card 🤷♂️

Hey man. Love your videos! It’s actually the reason why I’m going to go to some local card shows soon. Question as a buyer. I fully understand vendors need to make a profit at these events. What can I expect to negotiate to pay for cards based on what I see for recent eBay sales on PriceCharting? Near the same? A few percent lower because no 13% eBay fees? Just looking for a fair win-win. Thanks!
Depends on the card really. More desirable cards are less likely to get crazy deals. I’d say if you find 10% under market that’s a solid score

I just got back into TCG buying/reselling, my pokemon collection is small, about$2000 total currently, Im trying to become an event Vendor, aside from having a sellers permit, I was wondering what other steps i should take to be prepared, should i keep working on growing my small inventory? buy more lots? as a vendor do u get access to Distros? or is it Direct Buy? Sorry, I know its a lot of questions, I just really liked how honest ur being and would love some feedback from ya!

One question bro, would you buy graded cards from a new certification company other than PSA or CGC? I ask because here in Mexico it is a bit complicated to grade them, but a new Mexican company has just come out that grades cards, but it doesn't give me much confidence in the future. What's your professional opinion???

eBay mainly for most deals.
eBay solds, TCGplayer, TCGFish, I’ve heard people using alt, basically people will comp from those at whatever is in their favor . And take 20% off

How do you make money buying at 80% tho? Everyone will always want a cut on it. You buy a card at 200. And it sells for $240-250 all day long. They are going to hit you at 200 right away, you try and negotiate and probably land around $225-230. Then if they want to buy with a credit card, that eats away about $7 already. I noticed when i went to KC collect a con, almost all vendors were stickered really high and wont sell at comps. Only a few were willing to work with you.
I usually only buy at 80% for stuff I’d want or wouldn’t mind keeping. Usually it’s more 70% for smaller things and 75% for larger things. Depends how I’m feeling about the item though really
