AMAZING....how HP won't release this; I spent hours trying to figure it out and did it in literally 30 seconds. For those other HP owners, my printer is an HP 4140 DeskJet Plus. It works for this model as well.

Probably the first tip video that’s ever worked! I needed to print something from my phone using HP Smart, and it kept saying “used or counterfeit ink cartridge”. I had refilled my cartridges with an ink refill set from Amazon, and my printer doesn’t know what to do with them 🙄

Very informative video. I have a doubt. I have an HP Deskjet Ink Advantage 3635 All In One Printer. I plan it to sell. May I know how to factory reset the printer and delete the entire printing, scanning & copy history which I have done. Also, I want to stop & delete any pending jobs. No one should ever recover any data from my printer if I sell. I have already done the Unplugging from back while the printer is ON state. And waited for 60 seconds and then Plugged it again. Also I Pressed the Power button + Cancel Button, then, took the finger from Cancel Button & Power Button.
So, Is my printer memory & history data and the pending works completely deleted now? Is the printer currently in just like a newly bought printer? What else do I need to do before selling printer ? Please reply. Hope you will reply to my question very soon. Thank you in advance.

Could you follow the steps mentioned below-
1. Touch the Home button once, then the Back button twice, then the Home button once.
2. Open the ink cartridge access door, and then close it. A Load Paper message displays on the control panel display, and the printer begins initializing.
3. If the initialization does not begin, repeat steps 1 and 2 until it does.
4. Follow the prompts on the control panel display to complete initialization.
