One thing I've always appreciated about this game is one of the last pieces of media that really had that classic Marvel feeling before everything was MCU inspired.
@@Wayneisboss x men origins wolverine (the tie in game released in 2009) is the best x men game released. Hulk ultimate destruction is the best hulk game. And for spiderman, its hard to chose. Neversoft's Spiderman was mindblowing. But spiderman 2 on the ps2 was impressive too. Web of shadow had good combat mechanics. The ps4 exclusive spiderman has mindblowing graphics too, I was like : "how can ghose graphics run on a ps4", it look more detailled than every other open world game (A bit to easy but I still enjoyed that one)
This game brings back good memories. I might replay this game for nostalgia. I will say that the gameplay was my favorite part of the game and I prefer the maps on this one than the first game, but that is just my opinion.
@@Wayneisboss back then, it felt like one of the closest games we got to an avengers game and that is what I liked about the game and I love how stylish the combat was. It is no Arkham or Spider Man PS4, but still pretty cool.
I think it's interesting looking at this game since the mcu at the time still being fairly new seems like it made the game less mcu-ified so to speak Also you could've tried to play the bandage off as a shenmue cosplay
Eventually. I typically don't like to lump too many superhero game reviews too close together (learned my lesson from the Spider-Man marathon) cause it's exhausting, I get sick of them very quickly, and I have other interests I want to share
@@Wayneisboss yes do that I like it when youtubers are genuine and passionate in things they want to do and if you don't want to review that's okay as long as your passionate about what you do that's okay
The understanding is much appreciated. Admittedly this is part of the reason it's taken longer to work on the Ultimate Alliance 3 video, so I'll be shaking stuff up for the next couple reviews. That said, I was planning on tackling the PS2 port of Spider-Man 3 in the near future
So that's actually an interesting question I definitely came to the conclusion by the end of my reviews for this trilogy that I just...don't like these games. It's not a gameplay loop I'm into. That said, opinions can often evolve after given time to simmer, and I think it would be neat to revisit the Ultimate alliance titles some time in the future to see of I feel the same way. A little too soon for that right now, I just played these for the first time last year and I reckon I'd feel the same way about them today, but hey, maybe a few years down the line? I'm open to let time change my mind
Oh I've tried the PS2 version, the audio and visual quality led me to believe it was a port of a PSP version and I couldn't bring myself to play more of it
The story will vary depending on each individual, and I'll give you the character interactions were better in the 1st part, but the combat being better? HELL NO. The combat was WAY better and faster in MUA2. Also the graphics were a massive leap from the 1st part as well. Like it's literally night and day between the 2.
@@antmaster360 I'd say check your eyesight. They're leaps and bounds above the 1st part. Now I'm not saying that part 1st graphics are bad, just that part 2 improved on them tremendously.
The first game will always be my intro into the wild world of marvel. It's not going to be as good as it was when I first played it, but it will always be special. As for the second? It will always be a meaningless sequel that just retread the first game in gameplay.
Plot twist: Wayne cut his face and shaved his head so people would stop comparing him to Scott the Woz.
Cut hair, cut face, it's all coming together
One thing I've always appreciated about this game is one of the last pieces of media that really had that classic Marvel feeling before everything was MCU inspired.
Interesting how the first game had an ultimate universe aesthetic compared to a Steve McNiven style in the second game (the guy who drew civil war )
"YeahHAAH, THAT'S THE STUFF".

I don't even know where half these jokes come from, man. I swear they just pop up on the script
It's probably my favorite moment in any of your videos. If I would have been drinking something, it would have shot out of my nose.
Could you do a marathon of X-men games
It's not off the table! I already have a lot of other plans for this year but XMen games are certainly possible for later on

Deadpool actually makes a 7 of 9 joke while fighting enemies in the Iceland level.
"Any one else freaked out that there's two of me?" If you have him unlocked from a previous playthrough and play as him meeting himself.

Love your videos
I can't wait for your video on ultimate alliance 3
Also love your videos on the marvel games.
Nice vid
I love your content and channel
I really appreciate the support!
I cant wait to see your review of MUA3. I *HATED* it. Absolutely boring. Not that I loved MUA1 and 2...
I didn't get the impression the plot changed. I got the impression pro-reg was WRONG and nearly destroyed humanity itself.
I have a modded Xbox 360 and I managed to find the dlc files online
MUA2 was my first ps3 game, I also think it is better than the 1st one.
In no way is this better. Even if you like it more
Do you ever plan to do a review of spiderman 2 for the psp and last gen spiderman 3 ?
