A huge thank you Doctors. True Professionals with Real Reviews from Professionals.
Live in Thailand recently bought Saucony Speed 3 for $65. Currently using Speed 3, Takumi Sen 9, Clifton 9, Topo Cyclone 2, Mach 5. Buy Mach 6 or Rebel 4 soon. Great video.
Great show!
Brand new viewer. Just found your channel from your articles online, specifically your Adidas Adizero Takumi Sen 10 review (which I just ordered thanks to the detailed insight from your review). You guys are my favorite running shoe nerds 😂
Keep up the quality work and excellent content. Liked + Subscribed!
I’ve been thinking of trying the Endorphin Speed 4, after watching this, you guys have me convinced!
I'm still rocking with a few shoes from last year still. But I got the Monster Hyper, Velocity Nitro 3, and Gel-Cumulus 26, to name just a few. And I got to say that the one that most impressed me so far in 2024 is the Puma Velocity Nitro 3 ! It can do anything and every good in anything ( but very slow pace). It's also worth saying that I overpronate, and I totally hated the Velocity Nitro 2, it didnot work for my gate, overpronation and the way I run.
Nice job Puma with the Velocity Nitro 3 !
Great review of current and ‘still available’ running shoes for 2024. Thanks for putting it together.
I’m a big fan of the Novablast 3 and Triumph 20/21, but the shoe I most like is the nike zoom fly 5. For me, the zf5 has great cushion with the zoomx blend foam, but also provides great response and energy return from the relatively stiff cf plate. I know most people hate the zf5, but not me. What’s your take on the zf5? Thanks in advance.
I loved the Novablast 3 too ( 3 pairs ) but there's no doubt the 4 is better for me. Still great cushioning but they roll over much better ( more snappy rockering ) and my feet really transition much faster .
Glycerin GTS have been the best surprise of the year for me, for sure. Super comfortable and plenty stable, but the ride for me was way better than that Kayano 30 and Wave Inspire. Like the Guide 17, but I think maybe it's the rocker that really irritates my achilles/bottom of soleus area a lot? Never had issues in that area ever until I started wearing some of the more rockered shoes.
I use the Streakfly regularly as my training shoe. Odd choice I know, and it doesn't last. But it felt like a mini Superblast that's even more forgiving to me, plus the light weight encourages a good cadence for me.
I’m gonna say it’s pretty much just marketing and brands trying to get you to buy a 220 dollar trainer along with your 275 dollar race shoe. They do feel fun tho
company markets and sells you an experience but you actually have a fun experience
Absolutely shocked.
new balance sc trainer v2 on sale just ran 4mile 7:30 in them super protection after a leg day🔥
Seriously they want us to spend a minimum of 500 just to train for a race and race in their brand, kind of nuts when you compare 500 dollars to other things you can purchase for that amount.
Can you please do a comparison review of Brooks Glycerin GTS and Saucony Guide??? Thank you!!!!
The NB Rebel 4 is surprisingly comfortable running shoe got extra pairs
Do you find the drop feels really low or almost negative? Tried them on in store, may have just been the rocker though and a strange sensation when standing
@@macfin4862 : Never liked em. I always ran with Cloudsurfer 7s. Having bought and taken out the NB REBEL V4 on an initial run totally changed how my feet worked with the shoe.
The heels were low to the point that I couldn't heel to toe off as if I'm using a "rocker type shoe"
The REBEL V4 forced me to Midfoot strike and Toe off. Which was all new to me. My calves were sore and stiff for a few days after.
Now I just use the Rebel V4 for grocery shopping and walking . That low heel is a nightmare for heel to toe strikers.
If I get sick of em some kid in Africa will be so lucky to get a Brand New pair of NB Rebel V4s. thanks to Soles for Souls.
@@macfin4862agree. I’m a bigger runner and I find that just standing around or walking they feel like they have a zero or negative “drop” because the foam in the heel is so soft.
Noosa Tri 16 is a great speed shoe
difference to the 15 (which i have) = ?
The 15 is a bit hard.
In the video he said that the 16 is the first he wears sockless... i wear the 15 sockless and i could also use socks if i want to. But i have a very low instep and very low volume feet, so every(!) toebox is roomy for me ;)
Superblast all day everyday!!!
Well, I'll say it then: Super Trainers are marketing tricks that brands have been pushing on lately. People buy these phantom shoes hoping that it will actually benefit them more than any other trainer on the market. On the contrary, some running shoes that sell 40-50$ cheaper happens to be more consistent overall than so called 'Super Trainers'. This marketing strategy not exclusive to running but it's more exaggerated since most of the reviews are subjective and it is open to interpretation.
Topo Phantom 3. I like the wider toebox and I don't have the money to spend on "super shoes".
At the end of the day How does the shoe work for you? Putting all the jargon aside.
17.45 whole hogging a stroller is legit asf. i mean you're a doctor, not a professional athlete, I'd say it's very impressive. better than I could do without the stroller.
My favorite shoe of 2024 is for the love of god I wish they would quit changing every model so often so we can find someone that actually works, stick with it, and still have it exist by the time it needs replaced. Just me? I tried the 1080v13 but something is just wrong with it, overly compliant midsole in the heel + low drop = ehhh, iffy. So, it's v12 all day. That's such a good all around shoe for what I like. fits the bit for how you described the 880, I think it was.
Do you think the Guide 17 is Saucony's counterpart to Hoka's Clifton?
Guide is a stability shoe, so probably more akin to the Arahi. Ride 17 is the neutral shoe, although it has diverged from the Guide in version 17 (previously Guide was just the Ride with a plastic post).
Awesome stuff as always. So bummed that's the Endorphin Speed 4 isn't available in wide sizes like 3 was.....
Just go up a half size on the Mach 6 lol. It fits a half size short for many people
best trainer of yr are rebel v4 and adidas adizero sl 2..by far both every day do anything.
How do they fare at recovery runs?
@@andrew-ng squish ground feel more protection on adidas new balance will have more ground feel adidas will be fast squish less ground feel both great shoes id try on both at store yo find what's best for ya.
@@iconik-cn5rm Thanks! This is probably the best time to be a runner in terms of shoe choices.
@andrew-ng for sure I'd say go sl2 adizero by adidas its a no non sense choice value tech and fun...and can do anything. best value of 2024
@@andrew-ng for sure so many great shoes on sale of yrs past also...to add to new.
The Mach 6 has a tight toe box for my wide foot
i bought the wide version and its my fav
Part 2 coming soon?
Out tomorrow
I am using the Hykes Pinnacle and love them, best shoes I have owned and will never go back to restricted regular shoes.
22:06 - okay you have Doctorate degrees and talk about running shoes as a side hobby. The past particle of run, is run. I have run. He has run. When have or has are in front the verb is run. Never ran. Ran is the pure past tense. 🎉
Not according to Wisconsin grammar rules 😂
"Past particle" 🤭 I love the irony of the grammar correcting guy with poor English skills 😁.
What are you running in right now?
Novablast 4.
Still buying last year shoes also lol, Nimbus 25, Saucony Speed 3, Noosa tri 15.
Superblast discontinued so waiting for SB2 next month but buying it day one.
ES4. SB. DNE3.
@@notall1196 buying last year's shoes is for not broke people. i buy (lightly) used shoes off craiglist 😂
Puma Magnify Nitro 2 and just purchased the Adidas Adizero SL2.
Noooooooosa (14)
Just did a (training) HM today, which I was planning to run on Endorphin Pro 3, but changed back to Noosa yesterday as I found out it was way hillier than i thought it would be. I managed it 1min faster than the targeted time with the Pro 3s. Looking forward to the new version…
Supertrainers improve your running efficiency by lightening your wallet significantly. Personally, I'm pretty much over the use of Super in running shoes.
And really, have you been saying all this time that Lightstrike Pro was not a "super foam" because it wasn't PEBA?
I just need a good value trainer. I don’t race. I just run to stay healthy.
I define a super trainer as a NON plated shoe that shares high tech elements like foams etc... Stack height IDC about as much as I care about the feel and responsiveness and lightness
