  • Hi everyone!
In this video I'll unbox a bunch of retro goodies I've got a while ago.
The seller was super awesome and gifted me some extra stuff!
Also, I'll be installing a 486 in the case from this video:

All that trouble because I want the turbo function to work, hehe.
Thanks to ‪@philscomputerlab‬ for everything he puts out there, you should check him out:

My friend's DX2-66 ran Doom just fine back in the day but he had a VESA Local Bus video card.

That's nice, VLB is good option for a system like this. Will be aware of any video VLB card out there.

I reckon the Turbo is off. No amount of memory timings adjustments will make that much difference.

Thanks for pointing that! Yes indeed, also I figured out the timings, overclocking? Maybe. But will be part of the followup video with other hardware and bench as well.

Shouldn't a DX2-66 score a lot higher than that in benchmarks? I know an ISA graphics card is a limitation but even so, right? Is it a cache thing limiting performance?

Agree. I wonder if there’s a cache issue or memory timings etc. either way, subscribed :)

Hey Angie thank you for your concern! It should do quite better, right? I got to configure the BIOS settings and for what I've tested so far it has improved. I also got a "new" old video card for it, so I will make another video with more tests and benching. I will also try overclocking. Stay tuned and thanks again!

@@LBXComputers thanks for your subscription! Yes indeed it was timings and stuff. I'll get in to it in depth in a new video. Cheers!
