@@milageen1340 yeah, similar kinda incident happened to us at Portsmouth in the playoff semi final of league one a few seasons back where Luke Onien had fell over the advertising boards and a couple portsmouth fans started kicking and punching him, but luckily for them luke onien is such a nice lad that he didn’t want to press charges and said ‘ yeah that’s just football’ , idk if Diallo will have the same attitude toward that fan.

I think your cheers worked mate! 50 years a Luton fanatic and two weeks later we are still in shock. The media calling it “The greatest fairytale in football”. Nine years ago I was at Braintree to watch us lose in the non league. Don’t know why they call it the “Non league” cos it’s part of the league pyramid. But it’s made up of many semi pro teams. Now instead of welcoming Hyde and Alfreton (Who?) we will be welcoming!!! ManUtd, Chelsea, Liverpool, ManCity…
Astonishing. We are so proud. Luton instantly called the worst place in Britain and we do have crime, drugs, violence and extremism here but even hated enemies were hugging each other after what happened at Wembley. Shocked mate.

I watched this game last night and thought to myself Sunderland are just not ready for the top league. you need a couple of seasons more in the championship and maybe then you'll be ready. As a Newcastle fan I was wanting Sunderland to come up so we can have the Tyne and Wear derby again as I miss them. I really think none the teams left will make it in the top league as its such a tough division now and you have to spend money to stay in it. Anyway guy's see in a couple of seasons and best of luck.
I think they’ll be ready next season. They have a very young squad and are in a much better position financially. Hopefully they won’t make the same financial mistakes that landed them into trouble.

If Luton Town go up, they will have a very very tough season in the PL. But what a bear pit of a ground.
Even if they are relegated, they will be in a better financial position than they’ve ever been before with parachute payments. They also have a new stadium in the works.
I am cheering for Luton Town over Coventry just to see this grand old stadium in the Premier League.
Here's my thoughts - yes, I was annoyed and I was pissed off. BUT - if I'm honest, throughout the entire season, promotion was the last thing I wanted or think we need as a growing footballing force. I simply did not want to do a Wigan. So, by that thinking, we smashed expectations royally. WE need to GROW and we will. I'm super proud of the entire setup now, from management and the team who now, finally all want the same thing and that is to rise above and weed out the selfish greed from the likes of the Methvens and Donalds. Now, KLD and Christian Spiekmnn all the way down through to the lads on the pitch and our phenomenal support is now wholesome and good and this is what will finally stop us being a yo-yo embarrassment.

The 11 point gap between the sides at the end of the season doesn't lie.
Sunderland knock it around well enough in the middle of the park but there was very little end product and the Luton keeper was mainly a spectator.
Sure whoever goes up will probably come straight back down but both Luton and Coventry would be massively boosted by the extra income from a season in the Premiership when compared with the other so-called big clubs in the Championship.

Out muscled on the night by a team who play awful but very effective football, now if we had likes of Ballard, Batth, Cirkin, Stewart it might have been different on the night. Cov v Luton....the final no one wanted and two teams who will come straight back down next season...but fair play to them both. Proud of the lads, long tough season with injuries decimating us at times but deep down being honest I am happy with another season to continue to build in the Championship. FTM

As much as I want Sunderland in the prem and think we deserve it, I really don’t think we are prem ready! If we were to get promoted we’d likely be bottom of the table and struggling but I do think another season in the championship and we’ll be ready, HWTL❤️🤍
