Current members of the UN Human Rights Council (2017 to 2020)…
Angola, Democratic Republic of Congo, Nigeria, Senegal, Afghanistan, Nepal, Pakistan, Qatar,
Slovakia, Ukraine, Chile, Mexico, Peru, Australia and Spain
I don't think they need the US. They are solving the world's human rights issues fine by themselves. Civil wars (8 of the 15 within the past two decades, several ongoing). Human rights violations, ethnic cleansing, military dictatorships, presidents for life, secret police, murder and jailing of opposition leaders, people disappearing in the middle of the night, etc. nearly universal.

That's not to mention slavery in the ancient world.

What about a council reset button. Invite country's that's keep human rights. And exclude country's that don't. A new council with loyal allies.

As a friend and ally I am honestly irritated by this move. I agree that some countries need to be removed from this council so work together to remove them then instead of running away, that’s is not a good option.
