Given that the colour meaning of the Green heart in Undertale corresponds with 'kindness' and the last theory he did was about how everyone benefits more from working together to go further forward... Fitting. Very fitting indeed.

According to the colors, Matpat embodies Determination (or whatever the Red Soul represents since we actually dont really know), Kindness, Justice, and Patience.
Hope he is able to enjoy his retirement, and while it feels weird since hes not even that old, I hope hes around for many years to come.
Stay Determined, theorists, while Matpat may have stepped down, in the end, we have the power to continue where he left off. We may have new hosts leading the charge, but we are all Game Theorists, Film Theorists, Food Theorists, and Style Theorists. While we may not be able to save and reset our games...
Maybe, with what little power we have, we can SAVE something else.
he is full of DETERMINATION to discover the truth with the JUSTICE they deserve and with his KINDNESS, tell us them with PATIENCE. he is the soul of CURIOSITY and that fill us with HOPE.
Personally i dont think the red soul represents determinations but rather represents "you" in undertale atleast. Red never is shown to represent determination and the ball game dialogue supports this (btw this is in no way meant to be mean i just find this interesting and think it totally fits with this thematically plus its a theory soo yeah.) Anyway at the start of the game frisk is a complete blank slate to the point you dont even know frisks name is frisk. They have pretty much no personality until the end of the true pacifest where characters start calling them by name and start referencing choices you made as if its part of frisks personality. They grew into someone. Now look at the ball game dialogue:
"Bravery, justice, integrity, kindness, perserverence, patience (all written in associated soul colors) using these you were able to win at "Ball game" (written in red) "Red- try as you might you continue to be yourself"
The red soul isnt a specific trait in the ball game like the other colors but rather the hole itself where you PUT in the traits. The red soul is a sense of self and using these traits we become us. This could have lore implications with deltarune meta stuff but besides that isnt that fitting in this context? All the different theory channels have their own different traits (and all other content/art we consume) all come together to make us "us". So just like you said we are all theorists !
@@superl8296 I also personally don't think that Red means Determination, but as with a lot of things in Undertale, it's kinda just been decided that it is despite no evidence.
Determination is explicitly stated to be something that every human, and thus every human soul, possesses. I'm not sure what Red stands for, if anything, but if I had to guess a "Trait" of some kind, I'd probably say something along the lines of "Purpose."
The three red souls we know of in these games is Frisk, Chara, and Kris. All of which are obviously very important to the outcomes of the stories of everyone around them.
But it's also very possible that it just doesn't represent a trait at all, like you said.
@@fluffyeevee383 Purpose is a good word for the red soul tbh i like that. It kinda fits with ball game and the characters pretty well ! Plus yeah it kinda is the "protag soul color" in both games. Also I definitely think deltarune is gonna help us understand souls a lot more even though it isnt 1 to 1 with undertale being its own story and all. A lot of the lesser explained things in undertale really seem like they are going to be more of a focus in deltarune. I mean we literally are the red soul (in some way?) surely we will be able to understand what it is more. Also side note since you mentioned frisk and chara having red soul. God charas geno speech sure is something. I still dont know how meta undertale is truly trying to be im always going back and forth on that.

comparing the fact that he only has the green heart ringed with the yellow spikes, which i previously called the GT Live soul, while in the Finale X Science Blaster, he had a green, red, yellow, and blue heart surrounding the center one, one for each channel surrounding the central GT Live soul, i think he passed on the souls of the theorist channels to Tom, Sanji, Amy, and Lee, the new hosts of their respective channels, which leaves MatPat with only the soul for GTLive, the final channel that he's still making regular appearances on
Respect to matpat, an incredible person and respect to this music creator

every color in the game theoryist represents matpat personality and life of the channel: red=determination he never gave up his channel even when it got unfanmous some years ago, 2 greens= shows how kind he is, 1 cyene=shows that he never got too rushy in question of his channels and wait until it became famous, and yellow for justice because he always looked on both sides of coins before creating a conclusion
