      Hello I replaced the water reservoir on my 2018 jeep wrangler v6 JL but its not leaking from the bottom connection to the hose!

    That is not the engine coolant - that is the coolant system used by the turbo system and is supposed to be a sealed system. The overflow for the coolant is up agains the firewall.

      So what do you refill that with? Mine was low bought brand new.

      Do you fill the 1 you check and that 1 at the back? How does it work. And do you fill both with same thing? Confused respectfully.

    Thanks for the great video, too bad I still can’t get the cap off. Would have been nice to have an explanation

      Hi, I'm sorry to hear that. Just push down and turn it counterclockwise. If it won't come off, it may have been damaged or cross threaded.

      @@Paul79UF It’s not the “push down “ type. Being a “car guy” one would think that’s what you do but it’s not.

      I'm sorry to hear that. I work on lots of different cars and this video was years ago. I hope you can get the cap off. Good luck.

      I just tried to check coolant on my wifes Jeep wrangler sport.
      I twisted and twisted and twisted when I finally got it off I see that there’s no threads … it’s an O-ring. Lol

      The cap has a slot on the outer edge looking down..turn it till it lines up with slot below it. Put a small screwdriver in the slots and unscrew it.

    Do I fill the two tanks (not the black) with same coolant antifreeze used on the black tank ? Please and thanks

    • @Paul79UF
      @Paul79UF Před 4 měsíci +1

      Yes, they all use the same coolant.
      The black tank is for the radiator. The other two bottles are for the mild hybrid battery pack and the turbo system.
      Go to 5 minutes in this video, he explains the three coolant bottles - m.czcams.com/users/liveX-i7sGzRETc?si=e6DZKKibZxZ6IKJY&embeds_referring_euri=https%3A%2F%2Fwww.jlwranglerforums.com%2F&source_ve_path=MTM5MTE3LDEzOTExNywxMzkxMTcsMjg2NjMsMTY0OTksMjg2NjQsMTY0NTA2&feature=emb_share

      Hi, I haven't done it yet myself. Be sure to check the owner's manual and ask at the Jeep forum. I don't know 100% but I'm assuming that all three use the same coolant. Please let me know what you find out. Thank you.

      @Paul79UF Před 7 měsíci

      Hi Jaime, This isn't my car so I don't have access to it right now.
      I'm reading the other comments and apparently you have to line up a mark on the cap with the slot below and then lift off the cap.
      Here's what other people said -
      "The cap has a slot on the outer edge looking down. Turn it till it lines up with slot below it. Put a small screwdriver in the slots and unscrew it."
      "I have a small flat head I use as the key to line up the bottom ring to cap top. There's a slot on both."
      "I just tried to check coolant on my wifes Jeep wrangler sport.
      I twisted and twisted and twisted when I finally got it off I see that there’s no threads … it’s an O-ring. Lol
      Twist and pull"

    Where do I actually fill my coolant into? There’s 2 bottles and honestly I’m not sure which one i can pour coolant into. Is it the black pressure tank or the bottle next to the wiper fluid. I had to replace a radiator, transmission cooler and the AUX low temp cooler.
