It’s a grind is an understatement! PA work is the definition of sacrificing short term gratification for long term success. I tell myself I won’t get paid on anything I sign today for the next 9-12 months and I set that standard so low that if I get settlements faster than that then I’m really happy, instead of being stressed about not having money coming in
Yes they do. We try to handle it amicably, if they still don't pay, we send a respectful last and final request, then we send to collections if they still don't. Haven't had to go that far yet!
Good morning, I started my PA journey a year ago and have been trying to get into a company but recently realized I can do it myself not set to their schedules. Do you have any tips for xactimate since it is expensive.
I'm not sure if you heard of it, but we actually provide everything that is needed to become a PA. we have eBooks, Handbooks, and Video courses not to mention we also does CCA workshops once every quarter. Here is the link for that: university.commercialclaimsadvocate.com/ebook
Takes you years to settle because you write inflated estimates no one would pay while trying to scam real adjusters and contractors, then if you don’t get agreement you hire a friend to be an umpire and continue the lie on your behalf through arbitration.
@@millward434 Sometimes that might be the case, but sometimes the carrier just won't budge on an under paid claim. Not all claims are the same. Umpire by the way has to be agreed on by both sides.

Well said!
Do clients pay you directly? If so, what are your options if they try to stiff you?
Yes they do. We try to handle it amicably, if they still don't pay, we send a respectful last and final request, then we send to collections if they still don't. Haven't had to go that far yet!
Very interesting. I’m a commercial P&C agent. Do you only adjust claims for homeowners, or is there also a market for commercial PAs?
Absolutely there is! We both focus on homeowners and commercial properties as well.
