Today is the 12th anniversary of this masterpiece's recording being concluded. Around 6 years since I started my vinyl collection by picking this up on wax. Still remains one of the most mesmerising pieces I've heard.
CZcams has introduced me to every worthwhile musical talent in my life for at least the last decade. And it all started with a boards of canada search.
On a similar journey. Started with Eluvium and the Caretaker, on to William Basinski, Phillip Glass and Susumu Hirasawa, and then on to a few hundred others. Sad how if you only pay attention to mainstream culture, music appears to have died decades ago. It's alive and well, there's just no big money in the good stuff so it gets no exposure.
dude.. SAME
Check out Animal Collective, MGMT (especially their latest 3 albums and their newer 2-track project In the Afternoon/As You Move Through the World), Morabeza Tobacco, Shpongle, C418, Mid-Air Thief, Flume, Beach House, Avey Tare (especially Eucalyptus), Max Cooper, Adult Jazz, Busdriver, Four Tet, Godspeed You! Black Emperor, Icy Demons, King Gizzard and the Lizard Wizard, Mac Demarco, Mild High Club, Sohn, Wild Nothing, Tycho, Andrew Huang, Holy Wave, Hiatus, and Orions Belte if you haven't heard any of these already.
Boards of Canada started everything for me too.
i cant ever find anything new anymore the algorythm sucks
beautiful set, allways my last track on my set.
much love from south africa!
Words can not explain what this song does. In a world of dull it ignites my senses and makes me realise there is life under this technological sphere

Pure talent. Floating Points is first rate.
Paid £40 for this on vinyl yesterday. It's a single-sided 12" pressing, with just this song on it.
It was absolutely worth it.
+Diego Sebastian seems like a scam for 40 quid
+Diego Sebastian Then I dont need to have a bad conscience tubeloading it for free. Bien hecho
+Diego Sebastian It's a great record, hope you enjoy it even more mate :)
+Rupert Leimbach wouldn't realise it's limited pressing then, they're going for minimum £30 atm!
