    I was on that muddy trail on my africa twin about 4 weeks before you.
    I ended up dumping my bike into one of those huge puddles (they are big enough to get their own names!) and hydrolocked my bike
    A local was very kind to me. Helped my remove my bike and fix. He also put me up for a night. So fantastic.
    It was fun to watch your video, did much of the same tracks, but I did not film any of it.
    (I did a 31 day trip Germany, Sweden, Finland, Estonia, Latvia, Lithuania, Poland, Germany. 8250km. Basically all of September)

    When you're in the sand you need to keep a constant throttle, squeeze the bike with your legs a tad, push your weight back, and don't death grip the bars. The bike will make its own path👍 Sand seems tricky, but in reality its not

    The T700 has a fuel cut off so when you drop it when the engine is running it won’t start. Try turning the ignition off/on 3 times to prime the fuel pump. The bike should start 1st time.

    Mud = Sheisse. That's for sure.
    Sometimes I think that those TET-routes are made buy guys on mountainbikes.
    Some pieces are just not doable with a 200kg motorcycle. Even with Nobbies.
    But hey, you managed so 👍

    • @jespersaron
      @jespersaron Před 2 lety +2

      This particular piece is perfectly doable on a 200kg motorcycle, in fact, we Tallinn locals usually pass through parts of it to get warmed up before riding away to explore unknown paths and places :) I personally prefer to keep left or right of the larger puddles though, because riding in water is always a lottery. 4x4 guys who are somewhat more restricted in their lane choices tend to dig the holes deeper and then they use logs to lift themselves up from there, etc.

    • @TobiasvanderZwan

    I'll always choose A roads first and some B roads if they're necessary to get to a good lookout or scenic view. You can enjoy a ride without having to push your bike out of lakes of mud!!!

      @@pimsiebers7333 Have you done any off road work yourself. I used to race off road Enduro's and even now when I watch extreem enduro's I have to turn them off as I remember the pain and frustration of struggling off road. If you like that go with it, but physical damage to yourself and your bike is inevitable, so hope your employers are flexible and your pockets are deep.

      @@peterwhalley6491 Nice that you have a lot of experience but he’s not racing and if he encounters something too difficult he turns around and finds another route as can be seen in the videos sometimes. He’s on route to explore and enjoy himself which to me are different motives than the motives for racing. Honestly not trying to offend you but if you can’t watch extreme enduros because of all the pain and frustration it makes you go through then maybe you should have stopped racing a bit earlier. In any case I hope Tobias stays safe and keeps enjoying himself. And yes I understand that a 250cc bike for this route makes a world of difference. It would however also make a world of difference for other aspects of his trip including highway stretches and maintenance.
