Generator ran great for 24 hours then stopped and would not start again showed the error code unable to crank

I was going out to mow the yard I said screw it let me get a hammer and smash this thing a little bit. As I was gently tapping it lol I saw a throttle linkage hidden underneath the air filter housing I tapped that as it was cranking It popped it loose and it started!!!
The stepper motor was jammed on the generac generator. After I popped it free it ran great.
@@lucashugh82 do a video on that how to fix it
If there any technicians in the Kingwood Houston area please reach out if you are able to come work on it. Thanks! It's getting hot in here 😬
its not getting enough fuel volume. check feed to carb
Not getting enough natural gas flow would be my guess. With it working fine up until it stopped, that makes me think something got plugged or clogged in the line. Or a neighbor snuck over and turned your valve lol
@@cyberstick2 Yeah I think it might be the fuel regulator... Unfortunately there's not one of those to be had around here right now.
@@lucashugh82 did you try some 'percussive maintenance'? Giving it a smack with a hammer. Not too hard, mind. Maybe the spring inside the regulator is stuck, rusty.
@@cyberstick2 I did give it a few good taps with a 3/8 ratchet.
It's just kind of strange that in the middle of running after 24 hours it just shut down, you would think that the regulator would freeze in its current position at the time which was open . If that is the actual problem.
It looks like the Stepper Motor isnt moving
You are right it was the stepper motor. Luckily it was just jammed.
Overpriced unreliable extremely loud junk.
