I had a business trip to Cody and managed to squeeze in four hours in this museum. Four hours was simply not enough. I highly recommend this place.
Nice history BUT I wanted to SEE MORE OF the revolver.
As a historian you should be aware that some pistols were intended to be used by the left with the right being for for the sword. A colt P single action army revolver was likely intended for left hand use. To load one must normally transfer it to the left to hold when loading. The lebel ordnance revolver also swings out to the right likely for the same reason.
'The Mle 1892 revolver is a double-action solid-frame design, with chambers being accessed by swinging out the cylinder to the right'.
I really wanted to see more of that revolver. I waited for you pick it up to let the camera view different angles of it. I still gave you a like. Model yourself after Ian and your videos will be well received.
I did enjoy learning of that particular revolver and I was also impressed by its quite modern looking grip. Be interesting to compared it to the first swing out colt revolvers to see if colt copied anything.
Ian McCullom needs to get his hands on this and let us see how it actually works.
Very cool!
How much does it weigh?
All talk, though pretty good, and no show. I didn't see the cylinder swing out. Would that be so hard. And why are you wearing gloves if you aren't handling the weapon? The video seems to be a "cut" from a lengthier and more informative video. I felt somewhat cheated.
