As a millennial, I think I speak for many of my generation when I say, Chester was and still is one of THE voices of our generation. RIP Chester.
Not even close lol most don't know who he is. He's obscure in the big picture, whereas some super mainstream Justin Bieber and Britney spears are probably closer to the voice of a generation.. whatever the most popular is during the oughts and 2010s
@@Nexy9 he's only obscure to people who literally only pay attention to current day pop stars. There's a reason Linkin Park's music is still very popular today even twenty years later. Who today is going back to listen to Britney Spears albums? Who even talks about Justin Bieber's music anymore? People today are going back and discovering or revisiting LP because Chester resonatedwith people on a deep level, and the effect he and Linkin Park had on their listeners is a lasting one.
100%
Your generation created gen z.. And you was created by the baby boomers.
The downfall of the society.. Since 1945
@@frontgamet.v1892 "were," not "was."
RIP Chester 💯💙🙏🏽
RIP
😔💔💔💔
Rest in Sound Chester.
💔💔💔
Jay-Z and Linkin Park's album 'Collision Course' is probably the most played album on my ipod, I never get tired of it.
Bad ass collaboration
he needs to do encore w jay z
And jay z was very involved in fort minor
He’s already done some on patreon
The live versions on yt are legendary
Chesters vocals are un-matched, such a gift.
A shame time was too much for him in the end 💔
time takes everyone
@@StayFr0sty this is true, it's just a shame Chester stopped his own watch 😔
I was literally watching Chester and Chris Cornell trading off vocals on Hunger Strike and Crawling live when Linkin Park and Cornell toured together. When Chris took his own life that clearly tipped Chester's depression over the edge and he did the same thing just two months later on July 20...Chris's birthday!
First time? Bruh. Linkin Park is huge and legendary. Many walks of life
respected and loved that band. Some of the biggest bands and rappers
including Jay-Z, Busta Rhymes, Pusha T and Rakim did collabs with them.
LP will forever live on. RIP Chester.
True, hard to believe it's his first time.
It's possible it was one of those songs he heard but didn't really pay attention to. There's many legendary artists I've just passively heard but didnt think anything of
Did you not listen? He said it did sound familiar to him.
@@Xplouderrr I mean, stevie doesnt need to lie when reacting.
Fun fact, the band originally was called hybrid theory.
Linkin Park was a phenomenal band, I would recommend "One More Light' and "Numb" as a great place to start. Their discography is full of hard hitting rock riffs and deep intricate lyricism, mixing both rock and hip hop genres effortlessly. The members of the band also have other bands they were apart of, for instance Fort Minor (Rap Group) and also their group Dead By Sunrise.
Id say just go to the first album and the forward from there. Cant go wrong.
Mike Shinoda is Fort Minor. He was influential in other hip hop groups such as GBC and a few others. He was pretty well respected in the underground hip hop scene
He did Numb and Numb Remix on patreon
One of the best bands in history most definitely shouldn’t be slept on like bill Cosby
Sadly the song "Braking the habit" became a reality. 😥😥
"Forgotten" and "A Place For My Head" by Linking Park are a must. Powerful musically, and brilliant lyrically
The entire album is a must lol especially points of authority
This society's deprivation depends not on our differences but the separation within
No preparation is made
Limited aid, and minimum wage
Living in a tenement cage where rent isn't paid
Tragedy within a parade
The darkness overspreads like a permanent plague
on the forgotten
A place for my head HAS to be the live 2003 in texts version. It's the best one.
Yesss A Place for my Head 🙌🏽🙌🏽🙌🏽🙌🏽
This whole album is 🔥! They're never played out!
METEORA was great as well
Hybrid Theory
Grew up listening to all kinds of music, Linkin Park was if not is my favorite band ever. Just like Eminem I was hooked on since I was 4 years old and I turn 23 in a couple months
I'm 32 and their first album was the first ever CD I bought. I'm glad someone cultured you fam. Couldn't imagine this not being in everyone's discography collection.
@@anthonyzullo meteora is such a classic album !!!!!! every song was 🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥
Literally the same hear😂🥲

@@Kustom2170 Nice!!
the face of Jay-Z when Chester goes off 39:15 ... legendary footage
Ha ha, I’ve also suggested this, I should’ve read the comments first lol!!!
I LOVE that DVD!!!
Meteora & Hybrid Theory. Both classic albums. Also Rolling, In the deep Adele cover live. You really hear how amazing Chester's voice was.
Linkin park is my whole childhood
Facts
Literally
Yes! You are reacting to my favorite band of all time! Definitely listen to song like points of authority, numb, given up, and many others.
Yess these are dope as well!!
He’s already done some on patreon
You have opened the flud gates to a fan base that are die hard to there death haha I could listen to that song every day for the rest of my life and never get tired of it 😁❤️ hope you enjoy this journey you about to go on haha 😂😁
You’ll understand this song more if you have lost everything you worked for, everything you had, and everyone you loved.
In the end it doesn’t even matter ..
Wow did I learn that lesson the day I lost the entire inside of my house in a fire. I was crushed then my mom died the next week. We were all safe so I had to get outta my head and feels and move on. What other option is there?
Stevie... Chester, his life and his lyricism is something you need to get to grips with. He was an iconic human, voice of an angel, who could also scream like some demon. Perfectly. Grown up with LP and their music got me through a lot of rough times. Chester is one of a kind. This was a great watch.
Beautifully said. Chester brought the music to life because we didn’t just hear the emotion in his voice. We FELT the emotion in his voice.
It’s really a shame. Chester and Cornell were good friends and rumor has it they were working on a documentary together before both of their demises. Two amazing vocalists gone too soon.
Most of the lyricism was Mike's
@@PenneySounds not true.. have you listened to their music? Most of the music was literally about Chesters life. Mike is a fantastic lyricist himself and definitely wrote lyrics too. But Chester was the person who was writing about his life
@@missingno.1176 for being such a fan you should probably look for Shinodas interview on hybrid theory. Chester actually wrote very little but let’s be honest, no matter who wrote them, can anyone sing them better? Exactly and that’s all that matters
RIP... Their songs mean more now than they ever had.
Dude the videos are everything to Linkin Park, you have to see Chester sing his heart out 💪🏼
Agree! To not see him in "Faint" would be crazy.
The music video for In the end feels corny to me now looking at the CGI, just like Bring me to life by evanescence. Love the songs and love watching Chester sing, but I'd rather watch that in a live performance than the video. But the videos for Numb and castle of glass are my favorites.
Pick up their first album. "Hybrid Theory." It's one of those very few albums you come across in life that every track is amazing. You can't skip a track.
37 minutes and 45 seconds of awesomeness!!! 😎
@@nicknisis This guy knows what's up !!!👊🏻
Very true
I'd argue Meteora is the same. A lot of people say it's not as good as Hybrid Theory, but I fucking love Meteora.
@@MandatoryFruit So do I !!! One of the things I loved about linkin park was there willingness to branch out into different styles. I can still remember hearing the album open up with "dont stay" and thinking "oh shit they did it again!"
It probably reminds you of Transformers. A couple of their songs was in each one. I absolutely love Linkin Park. RIP Chester!
Nah. We can never get tired of listening to Chester sing. As far as other songs
Wretches and Kings
Waiting for the End
Lost in the Echo
Waiting for the end 👌🏼
Papercut was my personal favorite of the Hybrid Theory. First original CD I bought as I started earning and played the whole thing from start to finish for months on repeat. Felt every single bit of the feelings they poured into it. Still feel nostalgic as I hear it. Sadly I borrowed the CD to a friend and never got it back, and since never listened to it. But I think it's time to find a CD for my collection of albums to leave to my son. Thanx for reminding me and sparking the fire again.
I never got to seem them live. Linkin Park and Eminem are the main two I always wanted to see as a kid. RIP Chester
It would be cool to hear you react to "Faint," "Somewhere I Belong," "Lying from You," and "Breaking the Habit," among others. If I kept naming the song, I would end up naming all of them.
"Faint" is my favorite!!
This is definitely a surprise. They're my #1 band. IMO. I go to them. When I'm having a hard time. They alway bring me joy. when I listen to them, same with eminem.
Someone said: "Chester (Linking Park's lead singer) sings like an angel and screams like a demon." And that's 100% true, his voice had a huge weight and god bless his soul.
You have to react to their song "Numb" AND check the collab they did with Jay-Z where him and Chester are on that stage doing this live.
It’s on patreon
This song post mortem is is kind of taking on a new meaning for me like the pursuit of fame and all this material stuff doesn't matter in the end live life, be happy, share experiences and don't take it for granted ❤
You need to hear this song when they colab. with Jay-Z
Collision course 🔥🔥🔥
yesss please
He’s done on patreon
I'd recommend numb or somewhere I belong next. 🙏🏾
I've been watching a lot of Chester bennington interviews towards his last few months it's both heartbreaking and fascinating. He was such an amazing mind aside from his amazing talent as a vocalist
Fun fact. He actually was a massive hip hop fan and a pioneer in including rap verses in rock Music on a lot of song. He also admitted that he wanted to write eminem an email for a Collab as he admired him a lot
He was also very involved in fighting human trafficking...
Well he worked with Jay-Z so he rubbed shoulders with rap royalty!!!
@@shainebabjeck9403 Huh... Explains the so called suicided claim. He was fighting human trafficking and then he was fighting evil governments at the same time by doing so so they may have taken him out. Thanks for the info
@@jayykayy3590 yeah man look into it. Avicii as well
@@shainebabjeck9403 sad shit. Alot of celebs that stand against the system end up dead. Pimp c, Tupac are a few rappers who exposed the hip hop industry and all the sex rituals going on. I'm not surprised about Chester. 15+ years I've studied government corruption and they always kill and blame it on suicide. Especially Epstein. Their world is coming down though, trust that. The great awakening is here.
A few recommendations from the same album: Papercut, Crawling, and A Place for my Head are all great choices... I want to also suggest "Cure for the Itch" on the same album for your hip-hop side (specifically turntablism) though I'm not sure I'd make a reaction to it as it has no lyrics, but I'd be curious to hear what you think. There are a lot of other great songs on further albums.
A few would be Somewhere I Belong, Faint, Breaking the Habit, and Numb from Meteora Album.
The entire collision Course album (It's 6 songs where Jay-Z & LP team up and do song mash-up/remix/merging and it's pretty fuckin fire!
Given Up (Chester does a 17 second scream, crazy shit!), Leavy Out All the Rest (be ready for this to be heavy AF, but this is an absolute **MUST!!**), Bleed It Out, and Hands Held High from Minutes to Midnight Album
Waiting for the End, The Catalyst, Burn It Down, Castle of Glass (Video is a must as it directly ties to the song), and one of the most hauntingly powerful songs Chester ever sang "One More Light" (... be ready, you gon' feel some shit). RIP Chester.
He’s already done some on patreon
The lead singer Chester Bennington tragically took his life a couple years ago.. R.I.P
Great song great band.
Rest in Sound
My personal favourites were “a place for my head“ and “Papercut“
Stevie, you need to listen to Fort Minor, Mike Shinoda's solo project. The album, "The Risiing Tied" was pure fire !
Oh, and like others have said, check LP's collab with Jay-Z, "Collision Course"
He’s already done some on patreon
Also the We Major mixtape was fire.
@@bossladydeeadminteamstevie6566 Ah, not subed to patreon so didn't know... Might have to join if he doesn't upload em to YT
@@insayno Never heard it before, and can't find it on Deezer ? Will have to check it out, maybe I can find it on YT

Hell yeah
Ayyyy. Hell yeah Stevie
After Chester passed away someone commented on how all his songs were one long lead to his suicide. Look up his history/life-it will change the way you see/hear his lyrics. He commented once that his mind is a dark place you don’t want to go after dark.
How have you never heard this?!?!?
+1
He literally said he had heard it at the start
"One more Light" really hits hard after it was all said and done. Rest in peace Chester!
Rest in Sound Chester.
Welcome to the LP journey!
Gotta listen to some Linkin park live songs too to fully appreciate the emotion they bring out in themselves and fans, as well as to hear how phenomenal their natural voices are
Red Square is a perfect live show, really on top there
You’ll probably see this a million times but you need to check out Given Up. I will never get tired of seeing a person’s first time with that track. Also check out the Reanimation album if you get a chance, doesn’t get talked about enough imo.
"Bleed It Out" is one of thier best rock-rap underground songs that is fire, Then try "One More Light" which is one of the last songs they released before Chesters demise (RIP KING) and it's just Chester singing whole heartedly and is probably thier all around most meaningful and best song.. Much love Knight Nation!
Absolutely loving you doing linkin park bro .. you go down that road you will get hooked & Chester (RIP) has one of the sickest voices ever! Look forward to the next one stevie 🥳😜
So nostalgic listening to music i havent heard in years. Papercut, numb and what ive done were constantly in my rotation back in middle school 🔥
He’s already done some on patreon
Love linkin park. I shook chester bennington's hand back in 2014 during "One Step Closer" at a concert held at Jones Beach theater. A moment I will never forgot.
I also visited his house were he passed away at 3 years ago. It was a beautiful area he lived. It was hard to believe I was standing where he took his life. Very sad 😔.
I grew up on this!! Seeing a reaction from this legendary group is such a beautiful sight. WE NEED MORE!
Papercut was my LIFE when i was 14-15. RIP Chester.
You should check out One Step Closer as well. It was the first song I heard Linkin Park and I was blown away! Their first 2 albums, Hybrid Theory and Meteora, are phenomenal
LPs songs meant so many things to so many people. Ask three different people for their perspective and you'll probably get three different very personal interpretations, but the genius behind the lyrics was that there would be a point where it would intersect at some level. I love this band, and will till my dying day. They got me through some tough times and they help me appreciate all the good things I have in my life.
They really did make music that resonated with people on different levels. When Hybrid Theory was released it felt like a diary, my personal diary.
This is probably the main band that got metal heads into hip hop and hip hop heads into metal back in the day
I'm here for for this journey...you're in for a treat
"Blackout" and "The Little things Give you away" are some of my favorite LP gems.
Chester Bennington gave us the voice of beauty and pain and Mike Shinoda is one of the greatest lyricists of all time.
❤
If you like Mike Shionda's rapping, he did several solo albums and projects now. Stevie has go to check out The Rising Tied by Fort Minor for sure and Post Traumatic and learn why Mike is the most underrated rapper in the industry. You HAVE to hear Kenji by Fort Minor at least. You will appreciate the level of story telling in it I think
I love Mike. You're absolutely right. He's sooo underrated!
100%
Rising tied is a classic front to back
Agree with you on Kenji, truly a remarkable track on an overall amazing record!
One more light is such a powerful song that one is deep
Rest in peace to Chester Benington🙏🏻💯🙏🏻
One of my all time favorite vocalists
If you check out more LP you HAVE TO do “ Given Up”
If you want to really really hear some emotional depth and hear Chester's insane vocal ability at it's best, Given Up is the best song to listen to.
RIP Chester, happy to see you doing LP bro!! 🙏 they have so many good songs/albums
Yesss, keep the LP reactions coming
Another song I haven’t seen from them recommended in my scrolling so far is Breaking the Habit. These recommendations are great, can’t wait for more LP 💙
Yes yes yes!!! A deep and awesome one!
*PLEASE REACT TO LINKIN PARK:*
1. Linkin Park and Jay Z (LIVE) - 99 Problems/Closer/Authority
2. Linkin Park and Jay Z (LIVE) - Lying from you/Dirt off your shoulder
3. Linkin Park - Don't Stay
4. Linkin Park - Lying from You
5. Linkin Park - Pushing Me Away
6. Linkin Park - P5hing Me Away (Remix)
7. Linkin Park - A place for my head
8. Linkin Park - Figure 09
9. Linkin Park - Easier to Run
10. Linkin Park - One More Light (Jimmy Kimmel Live)
This is a really good mix that shows the mixed styles of their earlier music (my favourite) and each song is a bit different; some are more alternate rock, some more hip-hop, but all of them have great flow and synergy.

Man, Chester had the voice of an angel, I grew up listening to this amazing song and still listening today,
Seeing you warm to this and realise it had some meaning and thought behind it, great reaction.
I remember seeing them perform at a festival before they became popular. I was floored by their sound. I said these guys are gonna be Fing huge. Glad i was able to experience them all those years ago.
I feel that understanding of our actions is far more valuable than any particular action that we take
“Breaking the habit” is heavy
We're on the LP train now, huh? Let's go! I'm here for it!
Linkin park - given up is my fav song of them. RIP Chester Bennington
