For activating the "active ironing board". The one on the right makes the board "blow up" like an air bubble. Makes ironing things easier and you can actually often skip ironing the second side. I don't use the one on the left but all this must actually be in the manual / instructions. I absolutely hate ironing. But this machine has made my life so much easier that I actually do not mind doing it any more. It was expensive, hence I put off buying it for years - why spends lots on sthg you hate. But I do not regret spending the money - not one cent.
It would have been nice to see some actual ironing to demonstrate its features.

Should have used the curtains BEHIND you to demonstrate the steamer. THATS "IF" it actually can be used for wrinkled hanging curtains

That seems like a small container for the water.
It's fine actually. You can steam iron for ages with it before a message on the display comes up that you need to add more water.
