Can we have Nish Kumar as permanent co-host? I've listened to every Zaltzman-Oliver episode and they had impeccable coordination but Zaltzman-Kumar could be just at good with time.

I don't agree with the speech and it's themes etc ,but wasn't he just giving Catholic views at a Catholic establishment? I heard allsorts down the years at my Catholic school. Nothing he said is incompatible with Catholic doctrines, they DO think traditional roles are best, and they believe that having kids is the best thing you can do, as a Woman.
To be clear I'm Atheist and Homosexual , but I don't get the outrage over this Chad being a classic Catholic Chad at a Catholic place .
Because it's a branch of religion, Catholicism has a boatload of different branches, sects and splits within it. (I had a couple of friends who were "Anglican High-Church Catholics" which really confused me as the Church of England is very famously not Catholic. 🤷
But my point is, mainstream Catholic dogma has been modernising (reaching permissiveness levels suitable for the late 18th Century) recently. Francis is trying to push a more inclusive approach which corresponds with what most of the parishioners are already following.
But there are still a very vocal minority, but as a big chunk of them are American they're very loud, and as the other main section of them are African (particularly West African) their accent sounds very confrontational.
So it's a bit like politics, most people just want to live and let live, but a sizeable and vocal minority make them all seem like Amy Coney-Barrett style handmaids in waiting. 😉 😁
For me, Modernising Catholicism isn't going to work , it's prescriptive and I'd respect it more than people trying to make it trendy. I don't need them to accept me , or celebrate me. Literally means nothing to me . I don't need their approval or permission. 'Good' Catholics are meant to have many children, in a marriage. No getting round that.
And I've just thought, isn't he, in a clumsy way, onto something? I mean , I've heard most parents esp Mothers say they would die for their children, or kill for them to protect them, I've never heard anyone talk like that about their job even if they 'love' it! I know The Pope is trying to brings things up to date by their standards, at least as you imply, closer to modern times if not actually contemporary haha ....but then isn't that why he's so unpopular? Because he's being too 'liberal' ? Anyhow, that's my general take on it. Let them believe their crazy stuff and I'll go on being a great big Gay all the same !
I don't blame you being confused about your friends, whatever they say, you can't be Catholic and Church of England. One has Rome as the ultimate authority, one has the British Monarchy. They sound confused and like maybe their trying to have best of both, which doesn't work .
Butkar managed to piss off the very nuns who invited him to speak in the first place.
They were NOT happy and made a firm statement about it. Butkar clearly doesn't know his new testament. If he did he would remember that Jesus told Martha that women learning was as important as housework, or indeed even more.
