- Heyo! So, two things: Firstly, this is my first time doing a larger-scale audio edit, and while it was extremely fun, I don't know if I have the patience to do this on a consistent basis...maybe. We'll see. Secondly, I'm broke and don't have money for Adobe Premiere Rush (the editing program I used for Hannibal ooc), so those videos are still on my to-do list but postponed for now.
Last quick thing! I'm sure you can tell already, but this channel will most likely be a mish-mash of different mediums, ideas, and fandoms! I like keeping opportunities open to try to new things, so if you have suggestions of stuff you want to see let me know! (Note though that my expertise is limited: right now I'm just doing stuff I've never done and seeing what sticks to the YT algorithm wall)

I was listening to this while doing homework, and I noticed a strange noise in the background of the video. It was like strange mumbling murmuring sound, but it didn’t quite sound human. It was weirdly creepy and unnerving. I kept listening out of curiosity but it was beginning to freak me out a bit because it just kept on going! It wasn’t fading into the background, if anything it was getting louder! Eventually I took out my earbuds. I could still hear that noise. I realize it was coming from under my bed. I worked up the courage to look under my bed expecting to see a gruesome creature. It was my cat. My cat Grim was curled up under my bed and was dreaming, probably having a nightmare based on those dreadful sounds she was making! Good thing she’s cute because she nearly gave me a heart attack!😂

Omg must be a cat thing! I was once up late listening to a horror podcast (not tma) and just as it got to a really suspenseful bit the door right behind me slammed shut. A sliding door that lead OUTSIDE, that I could have sworn I'd locked. Scared the absolute shit out of me and took a good 30 seconds of hyperventilating before I got up the courage to turn on the porch light and peak around the curtains. And what do I see? Someone trying to break into my house? Some horrifying monster? No. I see my white fluffball of a cat innocently staring up at me from outside. Turns out I'd forgotten to lock the sliding screen door and the wind had pushed it open enough for my cat to sneak out, then he'd decided to use the screen as a scratching post and had slammed it closed in the process. He's lucky he's cute! 😂

I'm currently revising with this, it motivates me because I feel like if I don't completely focus then Jon will appear from nowhere, give a disapproving look and vanish.

Was literally just about to say, this is so relaxing actually - I’m getting married this Saturday, and we had no event coordinator or wedding planner, so am scrambling through last minute stuff (and the ADD doesn’t help) - hearing this I feel like could help with body doubling for that and any other work/school tasks in the future. As a disclaimer: I just found out someone else has recently made a TMA ambience video, so go check them out, but I'll go ahead and say it anyway that I started working on this in December, and in no way meant to copy anyone else's work!
I have a lot of issues with sleep, I usually need a lot of white noise from sometimes more than one source to actually be able to rest but I've also found that certain statements in TMA work for me too. Hearing someone constantly speak in a relaxed tone, with sometimes rain or just soft tape wheeling such as 186 and 147 have been really comforting. Thank you for making this, it really scratches the itch that the episodes just aren't long enough to scratch. It's really helped me sleep :)

@@ccbot5000 also I love the pen tapping noises, I think they are? like it sounds like someone tapping a pen against their hand or something similar? there's some around 58:20. It's a great sound and I rarely hear stuff like it in other ambiance videos but its wicked immersive
@@emilyw8926 Even I forgot that I put that in there, but yes, it's a pen clicking noise, and it's sprinkled through the entire thing! I guess there it's just more audible, but I pride myself on little details like that and I'm glad you like it!

now IDK if this is actually gonna work but I'm gonna share the idea; open two tabs of youtube in your browser, put this on in one, and put on The Magnus Archives in the other, turn down the volume of the magnus archives, BOOM, you're in the archives just hanging out doing whatever while Jon records statements in the next room.
Edit: IDK how its gonna hold up when the action starts but it works for the basic statements

I keep coming back for your video every time I have to study for a test. The whirring of the tape recorder in the background really helps me focus like some kind of white noise and Jon's scribbling and the sound of turning pages give me enough comfort to keep studying, also Martin bringing him tea and Jon's small thank you is, of course, my favourite part.
