My buddy and I were fishing in a canoe yesterday on the northeast river and we went to one of my spots and my friend caught a 6lb 10 oz bass. And I've been told there is some 10-15 pounders in that spot
KyleMx4 a 10 lb bass was pulled from the northeast a couple years ago so I wouldn't be surprised if a 13-14 lb state record was swimming around there somewhere
Yeah the place I fish in there not much people know it's their and it's hard to get to it in a boat the water is only a few feet deep.
I have a shallow spot on the northeast too, hmm... That's a nice fish btw

When would be the "right" time to use a buzz bait as opposed to a spinner? I don't have any buzz baits, but a few spinners that just don't seem to be cutting it any more.
Morning, Noon & night. Cloudy days, chop on the water..
Use big spinner baits when it’s windy or even when the water is super cloudy and dirty to get reaction bites, buzz baits work best when there is major light change like morning and evening I’ve never had much luck with buzz but pretty much all my biggest bass come on spinner baits with trailers or trailer hooks just slow rolling them around brush and banks corners

883Thai thanks for watching! The nice thing is you don't need really expensive gear to catch fish, its sweet to have but if you don't you can still catch big fish even with a stick, line, hook, and worm

Cool video man... Definitely is fun fishing under pressured fish. And you were talking about not wanting to re tie your line I noticed during the vid. Something I like to use are line clamps. You can pick what size you want to use depending on the test and the size of the fish you're targeting. I get the non swivel ones myself bc depending on the bait you're using the swivel can actually hinder the purpose of the bait. Just food for thought. Keep it up man,cool footage...

Last week I hit a local golf pond for the first time with expectations of catching fish like in this video. In three trips in over a weeks time I caught a few fish nothing over a pound. Time to check out a new course...

That was awesome. How do you keep your trailer hooks on? Whenever I put a trailer hook on a buzz bait it comes off after a few cast.
Rygis King You need to secure the trailer hook but putting a piece of tubing on to keep it in place

DC has great fishing. The national mall pool is great for LMB
I'm in the MD-DC area. If you have a rod and a reel and a couple of lures, you can fish alot, for most species. Trout in spring and fall, bass all year, panfish, catfish, carp, etc. Remember you are living right by the Potomac River
i dont have a rod or anything unfortunately. I was thinking about renting a rod from some boat shack by the potomac though

Sean Harrison You could always do that or just go to a local sports shop or even Bass Pro Shops, and just buy a cheap combo rod. They have fairly inexpensive ones that are pretty decent quality, they should be enough to catch you a couple bass around here.
How do you tie your baits on straight to the lure? In some vids you hook a swivel to the hook holder on the rod when done fishing? Please answer
George Haunted Sometimes I use a bassproshops fast lock snap size #1. I always use a palomar knot to tie my line to the snap/lure
If only I could find a honey hole like this! Great video man! Do you ever do any saltwater fishing? If so, have you ever caught a red fish? My favorite fish to catch fights similar to a bass but with more power, it will get your heart pumping for sure.
