  • These are videos from the Introduction to Complexity online course hosted on Complexity Explorer. You will learn about the tools used by scientists to understand complex systems. The topics you'll learn about include dynamics, chaos, fractals, information theory, self-organization, agent-based modeling, and networks. You’ll also get a sense of how these topics fit together to help explain how complexity arises and evolves in nature, society, and technology.
This course was developed by professor Melanie Mitchell, and is based on her book Complexity: A Guided Tour.

I'm interested by how crystalline a 110 automata looks. It reminds me of cooling metal.

Is any practical application of implementing the celluar automata?

Richard Pogoson you mean that in a positive or negative way?

@@AlvinYakitori060 Oh 😂, I was just wondering how it was possible to have a four-year-old comment on a two-year-old video. I wasn't trying to offend anyone.

Imagine if far into the future we finally understand the rule of our universe at the scale of atoms of space and want to tap into the computation at this scale and create unimaginable speed, far past what a quantum computer is capable of.
