If you're having trouble signing into your Xbox One or Series X or Series S consoles, watch this video and I'll show you some things you can try to get back into your account. One of the things that could affect your login is when the Xbox servers are down. If that's the case you really can't do anything until Microsoft gets the connection back up. The other problem could be internet problems at your house which will also have to be resolved before you sign into your Xbox.
But if you can rule out those issues. Then there are two easy things you can do to help you sign into your Xbox again. The first is to simply do a hard reboot of your console. To do this just press and hold the power button until it shuts off. Then wait about 30 seconds and turn it back on. You should now be able to sign into your Xbox.
If that doesn't work, then sign out of your account by pressing the Power button on the Xbox controller. Under the Profile and System menu, go to Settings. Here go to Account and then select Remove Accounts. Now just find and select your profile. And don't worry about removing your account. It only takes your login profile off this Xbox. Your account which includes all your purchases, progress, subscriptions and gift card money will still exist.
Once you're signed out it's time to log back in. Press the Power button on the controller and under Profile and System select Add New. Now just enter your email and password and you'll be able to sign in. When I sign in it gives me a black box across the screen and it never let's me sign in, but on my other xbox everything works, I think it's because every time I tune this xbox on (don't use it too often) it's bombarded with system updates, I've had a console update 5/5 times I've turned the thing on recently

Hey my account is on a gmail that doesn’t exists anymore and I got locked out of it and told me to sighn in with password but my Gmail doesn’t exist what do I do.

It’s possible that you have an unpaid balance you owe Microsoft. Usually if you still owe money on the Xbox you are locked out from future purchases or the ability to redeem codes until it’s paid off. The easiest way to check is to log into your account at Xbox.com and look at the Billing tab. You should be able to confirm if for some reason you owe some money. Hope this helps!

When you remove your account will it take all the progress and stuff off the xbox?
When you delete your account from the Xbox your progress, gift card money, subscriptions etc will still belong to you in the cloud. So when you sign back in or sign into another Xbox console all your stuff will be back! Hope this helps!

I just connected my Xbox one to a 4K smart tv. The tv recognized the device and I get the green screen startup screen. Then I get a « sorry user press Xbox button to sign in » . When I do, the thing goes to a black screen and shuts off. So confused. Any ideas?
Did you try a hard restart of your Xbox? Hold down the power button until the console turns off. Then wait about 20 seconds and turn it back on. Hopefully that fixes things. I also did a quick search and seems other people are having the same issue. i turn on my xbox one. i press the account i want to log into but it does the circle losing thing then “Enter Password” to get into my account but i don’t know it and it won’t bring up the pass key menu
If you can’t remember your password then the best thing to do is go to Xbox.com and try the “Forgot Password” button to see if you can recover it. Of course you’ll need your correct Xbox email address or gamer tag. Hope you get it figured out!
