2 things - 1. this game rocks, gotta find it and buy it :D 2. U guys rock :D Best game group out there. Many have criticized Aaron and Dave for different reasons, but these games just show the synergy of the group, the fun and enjoyment you guys have when you play together. Yes Aaron can sometimes be grumpy and Dave can be overthinking , Nikki can be silent and stuff - but all in all the group as a whole is very very entertaining thanks to those differences and the way all the different characters of you guys add up to the whole :D Great job! :D Keep it up !
Watching this, one of the few tiles I remembered from when it was flipped was the blue lioness. I found myself yelling at the screen "No! blue! blue!" several times. I never yell at the screen. Fun video.
The reason we play games is to have fun. The 5 of you obviously had fun with this. I can see kids having fun with it as well. PS nice to have met you, Lincoln, at Origins. Thanks for showing us this.
I think a useful memorisation strategy might be each person remembering the tiles of each color. For example, Nikki would remember only red tiles, Lincoln only blue, etc. There's not much new information to be overwhelmed with the changes and you remember exactly what it is, without any confusions by what others say.
Not 100% sure about this, but I believe there are 5 back-of-card pattern types (yellow clearing, dark green tree, light green tree, rock, and a little pond), and each background type is used exactly once per animal AND color. So, those backgrounds aren't just something for you to memorize once you have revealed the front of the card, but they actually information you can use to deduce the identity of yet-to-be-revealed cards.

So pleased to see Aaron and Mark on the show. Definitely my favourite combination when the five of you are together, the group dynamic is juuuuuust right.
I have to agree with Aaron that this game would be very tough for the vast majority of kids in the under-10 age range. But the game can be so easily modified to make it more winnable when you start out--just tweak the timer. If I were playing with my two kids in that age range, I would probably start out with a 15 hour deadline instead of 12 until I was confident they had gotten the hang of combo-ing cards based on known information and developed strategies for memorizing. Once that happened and we won a few times, then I'd go back to 12 hrs. Seems like a really fun game. Going on the Christmas list!
New drinking game. Watch an episode with a co-op game and every time Aaron tries to pass the buck, take a drink. :) Aaron's one of my favorites, but it got a little ridiculous.
Is someone singing in the house upstairs? I saw Mark look at the ceiling at some point... what a great game - not sure about for kids, but still I'm really hoping to see an English version to retail locally!
Sorry Aaron, I did rewind the tape and here is what happened. After the tiles were turned back over, you stated that "this one is blue". In the next round you said it was yellow and no one contradicted you. As far as this being too hard for kids, it depends on the kid. You have some kids that are eager to learn and want to figure out how things work. Other children may only want to watch cat videos.
Were the backs of the tiles spread out so each thing appears once per tile back? That could make the game easier, if you see a rock and have already found the lioness then you could keep hitting the rocks?
