I read somewhere that you can also say:
    I have = Ladaya لدي
    You have: Ladayka/Ladayki لديك
    He/She has: Ladayhi/Ladayha لديه
    We have: Ladayna لدينا
    etc.
I'm a bit confused about which one is correct :S please help :)

this is فصحى dialects differ. in iraqi you'd say 3indi, 3induh, and 3indak. but all the other pronouns drop the n. so 3idha, 3idna, and 3idkum,

This is almost exactly like Irish. "I have a pen" is "Tá peann agam." (literally "A pen is at me"). We add to the preposition "ag" (at) the object pronouns and get agam / agat / aige / aici / againn / agaibh / acu.

    Hey Maha,
I've been using some programs (Pimsleur, Rosetta Stone) to get around the basics of (Levantine) Arabic. When, in Rosetta stone, they come to possessions, they seem to use a different way around the verb 'to have'. I'm not sure whether this is because you're teaching a different dialect of Arabic, or whether there are two ways. For example, they say لديها كلب for "the woman has a dog"... what's the difference? Thanks...
