Hi Terri, I was Miss Argentina 1979 and a semifinalist in Miss Universe 1979 in Perth Australia. It was a great experience to share with girls of all around the world for more than 3 weeks and a surprise to be chosen between the 12 semifinalist. For me the most important advise for any Miss is go, enjoy, make friends and don’t expect to be in any top, otherwise if you are not selected you will feel terrible bad. I didn’t expect to be between the 12 so when I was announced by Bob Barker I couldn’t believe it. Let me tell you that the Miss Universe of those years were by far much better than today ones. Great to see you and your ENERGY is fantastic. Take Care !!!!!

The best reaction in winning a pageant. Absolutely loved seeing this before. When I watched this, my thought was while looking at you was something along this. When it came down to two, you stood there probably saying this can't possibly be happening, there's no way that Texas doesn't win this. Well surprise, it was you :) So deserved too! I am curious on how close I was to reading what you must have been thinking.

@@terriamosbritt completely my pleasure, and it's wonderful to see that things went so well for you afterwards. One of the things I've noticed about the pageants, at least the early ones is that the judges always looked for authenticity and being yourself. And obviously the judges rewarded that for you
@@Jukka70 thank you! I definitely won for my interviews. Had no time to be trained. I won Miss Arkansas in April and left for Miss USA a few weeks later. I truly believe that was in my favor.
One of the best speakers in the Miss USA pageant. Relaxed and funny as if she's just talking to a friend but that friend is the host and the judges are watching. What a pleasant personality and still beautiful today as she was on that evening... Greetings from Cyprus.

I watched Miss USA 1982 live. Your interview was great. I remember your score being the first to be over a 9.0 which stood out to me even after Ohio's score was posted. One of the things you did during interview was state how 'this is funny and my friends are going to shoot me'. That was a hook up get everyone interested in what your story was going to be. Just my opinion.

Do you still have your crown
I do! When you win, you are given a round case like a hat box with a handle. It’s how we protected the crown when we traveled. My crown is still in that case in my closet.

You are so right. But we have to do the inner work. It goes back to the Biblical passage that says to clean out the plank in your eye rather than looking at the speck in anothers’. We are all worthy of God’s love but most of us aren’t open to receive it. This is why it’s so important to do the inner work so we FEEL worthy and can allow Gods to shift our lives.
