- There’s so much going on right now it’s insane. New Shop going up, new Strange Engineering Brakes and 9” Rear End in my Nova, The 55 Chevy Project, and we are in the process of bringing Tommy’s S-10 back to life???

I know a guy that back in the 90s early 2000s built th400 for the price of parts cause it was his hobby after work. Good dude they owned a welding place. There yard was so full of transmission casings you could barely get around inside and out

As others have already mentioned we're happy the blue T2G S10 will remain true to the roots of the Hoskinson family a nitros hotrod. We suspect Bill kinda miss's working on nitros now that most of (except the Malibu) of their stable are running turbo's.

Yes he did and hope he continues to get better and take good care of himself. Would not be the same without him.

When I was 18 starting out my career in the automotive machine shop trade in west Texas we had several Mennonite customers that were regular. They migrated through the US during harvest season.
Two in particular were brothers. Cecil and John.
I would rebuild a John Deer head or some other various part for any given tractor they were working on. When they would come by and pick their parts I would often explain some details to try and help them along. John would often come to me and ask a question here and there through the years.
One time a made a pretty big mistake when replacing all the exhaust seats on a big John Deer head and I closed off all the piston to valve clearance.
I was sick to my stomach thinking the engine had been fired up and ran this way. John explained he had checked piston to valve clearance while assembling the engine and I was thankful.
My shop foreman told me to drop what I was doing and make that job right immediately. So I went to work relieved that our customer had saved my hide.
I got the exhaust valve stand off into spec. It was a learning experience.
The shop foreman told me that I would do good by offering to go help them put that head back on. So I did and they invited me to help.
I had no idea the depth of education and training I was about to get. I expected to see some clay checks performed for a piston to valve clearance check. Not at all. Bridge gauges with dial indicators and a degree wheel with a dial indicated piston to valve clearance checks that I knew nothing about.
Mr.John took time to educate me in depths I knew nothing about. He was the most intelligent person I had met to date and he opened my eyes to machining facts of life.
It was then and there I learned that John knew the answer to every question he had. He knew that I did not understand how close diesel engines ran when assembled. He knew everything I had explained prior.
I asked John why he sat there and listened to me rattle when he knew. He smiled and stated,”because you are genuinely excited about what you are doing and I appreciate that.”
I later found out that John was the preacher of their church and he was fluent in several different languages during a television interview he was in while out in West Texas.
I’m thankful to have learned these lessons and everything surrounding them. Judging the book by its cover and all.
You will be surprised what some people actually know.

Man.... I'm having a tough time... My "June Pup" just bit another person she decided to herd around my house.... Usually people are in jeans or whatnot and she'll grab pant legs but we had someone in shorts and she got her pretty good... I need to get rid of the dog. I've done everything I can but that herding instinct is just there. I know you all are heeler people. Maybe you might know of a shelter or someone who needs a good little 5 year old Australian Mini Heeler.... 😣😣
It's so impressive how you have kept the family and kids so close. I have 4 and my 13 year is giving me a real issue or rather his mom I had him when I was 19 with a not nice person. I'm praying I can keep him together the other 3 are girls and i have a great wife I don't feel ill have a big issue with them

@@1982MCI we are lucky we live in the country and we moved to a county with a smaller and very good school and my wife is the administrator for the organization that does ages 1 to 4 in our area, and I own a lawncare pressure washing and tree company and named it Family 1st lawn care. We are trying to do things the best we can but the 13 almost 14 yr old is driving me crazy I also made a mistake of paying him to work for me so he thought he was a adult for a min lol.

Looks like all in all a pretty great week and weekend for the whole family and crew, couple complications here and there but everything moving forward not much more you can ask for. Very excited to see this new World Headquarters moving forward AND to see Tommy's Blue S10 finally back in one peice!

Looks like everything is coming together with the new shop and the cars. Its always good to take a step back and have a fun family day away from from the daily grind.
Like the blue truck finally getting some love and staying on nitrous. I am so excited about the new shop. Having the whole SRC team under one roof again makes everything seem right again. I really can't wait to see Milo in the car for a pass or two. Are you going to feed it all the onions for his first pass? Or give him a motor pass and then a nitrous pass? Man this has to feel like top of the world for Bill Hoskinson! I'm really very happy for you Bill!

Back around 1990 my buddy Jeff at street able customs east built an 86 s10 back halfed with pro Streeter narrow 9 in, 21" wide Mickelson. Lexan windows, a cage coming through the back window. A 327 W/ 2 hollers and a 5 speed. Custom tonneau made from the top 2 inches of another bed with lift cylinders and a cell under the cage in the bed with a custom bow tie fuel cap. Took 2 first places at Boston world of wheels including best paint, one color, soaking wet deepend shiny black. Louvered everything(it was 1990)! A stunner!

Vicki better make them boys some cookies, I did when I had my pole barn built. Crew came from Indiana, Father his 2 boys and one guy that worked for them and drove the work van. Had my 30x56 Pole Barn built in one week. Any one needing a Pole Barn built highly recommend Graber's just south of Buckeye Lake.
I made them chocolate chip cookies Friday, jolly pirate donuts, and jersey mikes subs for lunch. 😊

I hope isky tightens up the lsa on the cam to 106, 108 area, I think the torque curve will be stronger than at 110. Glad to see and hear that truck run again. Love to have that SBC 427 in my 1960 Hillman Husky 2 dr wagon pro-street car. Just gas a SBC 355 with tunnel ram with 2x4’s with 350 trans and 9 inch rear with ladder bars and 31x18.5 rear tires tucked of course inside the fender wells. Full roll cage and Mustang II front end and a light car. Gets tons of cell phone photos and videos taken at stop lights and when I’m pulling into store parking lots out here in the country of Wa. State.

Leaking Muncie 4 speed is as common as air and water. There is no front seal. They only have a oil slinger in the input shaft. If they ever parked on a steep him oil will run out of the bell housing.

I live in an Amish neighborhood in south central ky. I’ve always worked along side several building buildings myself. They absolutely love taking rides in anything that’s loud. Everytime they see me out in my mustang or my trucks at least 1 (mostly kids) always hits me up to do a burnout lol.
Moving forward quickly! Get er done before the winter weather starts!

My father works with trucking everything his local schwarzentruber amish (old school traditional horse n buggy amish) they’ve two barns for him their incredible craftsmen !
Crazy how much the world is changing that even the some Amish are using cellphones and few other things they used to forbid every building I’ve seen Amish build are always great quality construction you guys are in good hands thanks for sharing
